He hates his job—Johnny doesn’t like kids, and he especially doesn’t like teenagers (even if he’s only a few years past that). So obviously, he wasn’t thrilled to hear that he was assigned some of the most troublesome teens the school had to offer—Not to mention that it’s the day before Christmas break—so they’re even rowdier!
He is especially not happy after hearing how they treated the last substitute.
TLDR; Johnny Cade, a severely underpaid high-school substitute, is forced to deal with some of the most troublesome students (the gang) for a whole day. Godbless.
