Tony hasn't been the same since Bucky arrived at Stark Tower. That much is obvious. But Steve is overjoyed to have his best friend back and is somewhat oblivious to how Tony is withdrawing away from him. Because surely Tony is just overworked as usual. He must be quiet and jumpy because he is sleep deprived. And of course he has a few cuts and bruises on the visible parts of his skin - he fights and works for the Avengers as a living. It's part of the job description. Until it isn't.
Will Steve discover the physical and mental trauma that Tony is going through before it is too late?

Summary
Tony did it. He brought back Peter, he saved the universe. Too bad it was all for naught. The multiple snaps did nothing to bring back the people who died that weren't dusted. It did nothing but further break the universe apart. Tony wished for another chance and the stones decided to give it to him with the hope he'll be the one to save them all...again.
This fic is Team Iron Man so just a fair warning, I will not be nice to Captain Asshole or his merry band of shitheads...except Natasha...maybe :)

He formed this masks for a reason, the reason being Howard Stark’s shitty parenting, and he would die twice over before his disastrous childhood is revealed to his team.
But after the Civil War he’s left broken, his masks cracked, and when the team coming back coincides with a sorcerer reversing Tony to his 6 year old self, no memories of his old self and an emotional baggage as big as the Hulk, the team is left spinning from the kid’s behavior. Will they find out about Howard’s abuse? Will Tony let them?

Tony was pretty sure that the small human left on his doorstep was just a (really fucking frightening) attempt at extortion, and mostly just wanted child protective services to show up yesterday. Then an extended trip to Afghanistan puts life, the universe and everything into perspective, and somehow, miraculously, Tony might be closer to happy than he's been in his life. He's even willing to accept the enormous pieces of the puzzle he's obviously missing. He should've learnt long ago that what you don't know will always come back to bite you in the ass.

Tony Stark has been missing for over two months and the Avengers are frantic, trying to find their genius friend. What they don't realize is that Tony has been kidnapped by Hydra and has been tortured during all the time he's been missing.
One day, Loki, a former enemy, goes to the Hydra compound to reclaim his scepter that had been stolen from him. There he finds Tony, a shadow of his former self, broken and mute. Loki decides to take Tony away with him from Hydra and attempts to help Tony heal.
Only it's a lot harder to do then Loki thought.
