Summary
A very, very long time ago I wrote a little something called Boots, in which Thorin, retired to the Shire, got "tied up" and properly fucked by his husband Bilbo. My lovely and much beloved friend Mith commented, noting that Bilbo at one point said “Not that we need them[restraints], given that you can pin me down with one hand.”.
She said, specifically: "and now i want THAT fic because i'm thirsty and gross :)"
Well, Mith's wish is my command. I had intended this to be ready for her birthday, but it... wasn't. I hope you'll enjoy it anyway, lovely Mithles, and thank you so much for your artwork and creativity and most of all for your friendship. I love you lots. :3

Summary
Years after the battle, Thorin and Bilbo live in Erebor, though Thorin has left the crown to Fili. In that prosperous time, they are invited to the wedding of Dorwinion's crown prince; and once on the road, Bilbo and Thorin find that they wouldn't mind seeing a little more of the world.
What was supposed to be a diplomatic mission to Rhûn brings them to distant lands, lets them walk over a sea of stars, cross the Eastern Desert, and gaze at the shores at the end of the world. Far from home they make new friends, and find that the world is wider than they thought - there are hobbits living in the east, and dwarves from Erebor that found a home there after the dragon came.
And eventually that same road also leads them home.

After becoming increasingly irritated by overtures of romance from various Shire residents following the death of his mother four years ago, Bilbo is more than ready to resort to desperate measures. That is, up to and including pretending to be in a serious relationship with a certain surly blacksmith currently inhabiting the Bindbale Woods.
It's a good idea after all; all they have to do is pretend to be in love over the Yuletide period and Bilbo's family and suitors will surely leave him alone after that. It's perfect! And nothing can possibly go wrong, right? Certainly nothing as preposterous as falling for one another for real...

Crossing half the world, riding barrels, and fighting spiders was supposed to change things. No one should need to carry him anymore. Thorin understands such pride better than most, but he will stop at nothing to have the hobbit safe in his arms.

Sherlock is very clearly drunk. He’s sitting cross-legged on the floor, and the extra tail of fairy lights from their small tree is draped through his hair and across his shoulders, giving him the very (unrealistic) appearance of having a halo. His cheeks and the tip of his nose have warmed a lovey pink from the liquor, and in the muted light of the sitting room, backed by sparkling fairy lights and the shine of ornaments, he looks soft and ethereal, as if he came from another plane of existence. Rumpled t-shirt and worn pyjama pants aside.
John feels a lump rise in his throat, and it hits him, again, that this beautiful, infuriating creature is his. Completely, one-hundred percent his.
“John, Mycroft wasted his money. This is aw—” Sherlock looks up to find John staring at him, open-mouthed. “What?” He asks, his nose crumpling again in that way that is only his, a way that always makes John want to press his lips between his eyebrows.
“Nothing, love,” John smiles slightly. “But you’re adorable. Terrible scotch aside.”
