Ilya let out a laugh, “Please, you beg for me all the time.”
“I’m not the one who can’t go more than a day without jerking off —” shut up Hollander, SHUT UP “I can totally go two weeks without fucking.”
The Centaurs do a rotational room program for their first road trip of the season. Which would be fine if Ilya and Shane could be professionals.
Shane starts a fight and gets a Dick Trick, Ilya is a mastermind, Bood becomes an Queer Icon, Troy has no idea what's going on, Hayes is having the time of his life, and no one wants to talk about the showers thing anymore.
Now with Prequel, but stands alone.

Summary

Shane and Ilya are pulled together by Anya, but they slowly begin to understand the ways they're both hurting. Shane begins to wonder if he's allowed to want a life outside of the cage, and Ilya wonders if someone like him can build a future that isn't defined by survival.

Summary
Shane has enough to focus on: he needs to teach literature in a fresh way his students can relate to, and above all else, he must be a supportive father to his thirteen-year-old hockey protégé of a daughter.
Shane has no excuse for being so focused on wanting another bar hookup with a Russian stranger. He should just forget about it.
At least, Shane tries to before Ilya shows up as the new automotive teacher with a daughter of his own.
Or: two teachers do a horrible job of dancing around each other after a summer hookup as strangers. Accompanied by a trifling school staff who are beyond invested in Shane and Ilya's tension, these two have their hands full — to say nothing of their daughters' growing rivalry on the ice.
