While obligatory, this series challenges a few pervasive narratives and hopes to rewrite foster aus as a concept through radical acceptance, diversity, and realistic healing.
Most people writing foster aus have no idea what they're doing. And tbf- that's okay. Most people aren't reading foster aus for accuracy. But as someone who is knowledgable about these systems and the trauma of foster care, I really wanted to see an au that tackled these concepts head on. So I did it myself.
Thus, encompass was born, a foster au that tackles topics such as
-disability
-neurodiversity
-queer identities
-self harm and recovery
-abuse cycles
-intersex identities
-how the foster system actually works
-guilt, shame, and pride

Summary
After his cruel father signs a long-term contract, Patroclus is legally barred from singing like he loves- in front of anyone, ever, and certainly not in front of Achilles, the future face of Phthia Music Entertainment. Summary
As their eyes adjust to the light above, as their skin adjust to the temperature around them, as their ears adjust to the talking echoing through the halls, and as their minds finally take in their surroundings.
They're in the backroom of that old game store, but it's different now. Cobwebs and dust covered the shelves and old items never sold. Sat at a table in the middle of the room were four unfortunate teenagers who just finished their journey and are home. All battle scars gone, all missing limbs back, but the trauma was still fresh and painful.
They're exactly how they left.
Or- The B team came home, and after months of being gone they’re expecting to go on with life, like nothing ever happened.

King George has to admit he doesnt know his Kingman very well. Reynolds has been there for him since childhood, so now that he finds time to simply pay attention, he strives to learn more about his kingsman.
Queen Charlotte, despite spending every hour of every day with Brimsly, doesn't know him. She doesn't even know his age. She sees fit to rectify that.
Reynolds and brimsley are both very good at their jobs, and they are also nineteen years old. With all the emotions that come with that, romance blooms, lasting is a different question
or
basically, vignettes of different moments with Renolds and George Brimsley and Charlotte and of course, Brimsley and Reynolds all tied together in one story,
PS. This barely fits in the timeline of the show; I got bored and couldn't sleep, so I played with the characters, so also not incredibly character accurate, but I think its a fun read anyways; if people like, I'll make a chapter two, if not I enjoyed making this one :)
