What the title says. About 11 years ago (from my perspective; relativity is weird) I was launched into space onboard the Hail Mary to figure out a solution to the Astrophage problem. Now I live on an alien planet I call Erid, in the 40-Eridani system. Yes, I’m actually Ryland Grace. Ask me anything.
Also, can someone please tell me if Eva Stratt is alive? And ideally send me a video of you punching her in the face? Guess that’s a long shot, but it can’t hurt to ask.

He notices nothing wrong with it but a purple "M" written in crayon on the back of it. And decides to purchase it.
It was (probably) the worst 200 he's ever spent.

Thursday I head to work. It is not any special day, not any special week, just a day in which a new passenger arrives in the corner of my eye, and I see her sitting on the other side, hand braced on steel pole, bracelets jingling in time to the rattle of the tracks. Her eyeliner is slightly uneven, her hair not quite pinned properly in place, her teeth uneven in all the places mine are, which I only notice because she smiles as she chats on the phone, scarred back of her ring finger curled around the case of her phone. Mason, Mason, her mouth seems to sound out, and by the train slides into the next stop she’s gone.

It takes until Kenadian logs off to really register how late it is.
When Wato had told him that Wifies would log on at nine o'clock, he hadn't thought anything of it. But now it's the wee hours of the morning, Kenadian's been staring at his monitor for several hours, and he's exhausted.
The multiplayer menu blinks at him as he pushes away from his desk and stretches his legs for the first time since his Wifies alarm went off. The dulcet tones of "Wet Hands" fill the quiet air.
"Fuck," he mutters. He stands and scrubs at his eyes. The bedroom squishes around in the air, like a whole place is a cube of jello being gently compressed. "That was… something else."
(The events of the collab took place inside a video game, which raises... a lot of philosophical questions and a lot of scientific ones. Ken and Clonefies talk in the aftermath.)

The old champion—the Parkour Villain, they suppose they should call it—would kill, and kill indiscriminately, and Ally does not want anyone else to die.

This is new territory for him, he’s a totally different person when there isn’t a screen and a dire situation in front of him. He’s so certain he’s not what Avery thought he knew. But Avery reaches forward and pulls Derek in, leaving the gangly man to stumble against Avery’s shorter shoulder as he’s dragged into a hug.
“I’m just glad you’re alive.” Derek feels his eyes prickle and just gives into the urge to lean into the contact. He doesn’t even care how that must look right now.“Don’t think I’m not angry. I am. Three weeks and not even a word?” Avery’s voice raises, just a little, not enough that it’d disturb the neighbors, but enough for Derek to catch. “But that can wait.” Avery gives Derek one final firm squeeze before leading him into the apartment.
