Summary
It's been building all evening, really.
Or for years, maybe, depending on how you look at it.
There's a hickey on Nico's neck, barely visible, and it made Percy far more aggressive than he would've usually been, probably. The teasing certainly hasn't helped, just made his need to lay his own mark over it more intense.
Cover that pathetic attempt at a claim. As if Nico could ever belong to anyone but himself.
(Anyone but Percy, he wants to say. But that would only be a lie.)

The live music is engaging enough that she can stare straight ahead, but not so engaging to stop her leg somehow moving sideways.
Galadriel doesn’t really remember sliding her leg that way, but the solidity of Elrond's leg against hers is impossible to ignore. Her heart races, and sweat trickles slowly down her back, though the room hadn’t felt particularly hot a few moments before.
When the song stops, Galadriel applauds as heartily as anyone. But still, before the applause dies down and the next song can begin, she stands and rushes from the room.
Her place is beside her beloved Celeborn.
