The cast escapes the Circus and find themselves in the long-abandoned office building of C&A, a now defunct game development company, in May 2025. The most glaring problem? None of them entered the circus in May 2025—in fact, some have been missing long enough to be declared dead.
Picking up the pieces left is a task much easier said than done.

Summary
Working for GUN has made Shadow miserable. Resolving to quit, he waits for Rouge at her apartment for some kind of reassurance. However, his intents are immediately derailed when Rouge stumbles home, alone, from the hospital. Shadow drops his problems to help her recover from her top surgery in the days that follow, battling Rouge's reluctance toward vulnerability and his own immediately-complicated feelings about her. (Not in a romantic way, in an "expectation vs reality" kind of way). Neither is ready to be honest with the other about how important their friendship is, but actions speak louder than words.
