He, infestation fusing with the body of a trained soldier, and I, a void-ridden body changed in ways that I would never truly understand. Two sides of the same mutated coin, a pair of souls that between them had known far too much suffering and loneliness.

There was a subtle red glow to them, not like anything I had seen from Arthur before. It was utterly mesmerizing—pulling me in a way that was far beyond what his normal gaze already did every time we exchanged stares a little too long.
