Bruce knocked his fist against the wooden door, his cowl casting a dramatic shadow across the front step. Behind him, all in various stages of injury, stood the entire Justice League, watching the small cabin with curious glances. An awkward silence surrounded them, until Hal finally spoke up, his voice more than slightly nervous. “Are you sure about this, Batman?” To his everlasting credit, Bruce only hesitated for a second before grunting back a “Yes. These are allies.” The door swung open, revealing an older-looking teen with guns strapped to his thighs. The league froze. This, whatever this was, was not what they had expected when Batman himself led them to a safe-house in the middle of nowhere. The teen sighed, glaring at them.
“What the hell, Dad?”

At first, he thought it was just some shitty group of rag-tag assholes that saw his brashness and thought ‘that kid would make a good villain’. Katsuki expected that. Actually, it was laughable to think he’d never get called a villain. But after only a few hours with the League, they’d brought in their silent benefactor, the power behind the group - the real villain controlling all the strings.
All For One.
The very same person he’d spent a weekend with as a kid. Katsuki hadn’t known his name back then. He’d only known one small, dark room, and the masked face of a gigantic man who made Katsuki hurt and scream and bleed.

OR: The Commission debriefs Class A after Kamino, where Katsuki had to face the very same villain who once altered his quirk and silenced him, preventing him from ever talking about it.

He hung to her attention like a lifeline. “Torture me instead,” he repeated, keeping his hoarse voice as calm as possible. “Come on, you know you want to see what it’s like to torture one of the best three in my damn class. Well, here I fucking am! You want entertainment? You want revenge? I’m the one you fucking want.”
In his experience, ‘entertainment’ was often in the form of breaking people’s will when it came to villains.
She wanted to break them, and she wanted to have fun with it. Katsuki would be a challenge she couldn't help herself from taking on.

The group get kidnapped.
It pretty much goes as you would expect; horribly. With a torturer as their kidnapper, no clues about their whereabouts whatsoever to the outside world and time quickly running out, they'll need as much luck as they can get to escape... let alone survive.
Katsuki isn't very lucky, but he's ready to fight Death himself if it means it'll save his friends.

So Dick lets the League know that he will be handling the situation and to expect Batman back by the end of the night. He even promises that he won't be going alone. No one should stand in the way of a Batfamily rescue, even if the Justice League doesn't know there's a Batfamily at all.

Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.

Summary
The Hermits are a rowdy and rambunctious type. Always messing with each other, pulling pranks to no end, starting wars, and breaking the server. Xisuma is their frankly overworked admin who tries (emphasis on tries) to keep the server together. The chaotic Hermits need someone who can keep calm throughout the most chaotic interactions and problems. And, just their luck, their admin happens to have those exact qualities—at least as far as they know.
