People call it nothingness, but perhaps they are wrong. Perhaps the void has always lingered beneath everything.

    What if it is not punishment, but peace?
    What if silence is more honest than hope?
    What if true freedom lies in surrendering to the dark?

    And what becomes of the hero?

    The one praised, burdened with expectations they never asked for. What happens when the role begins to rot? When belief curdles into doubt, and the words "brave" and "selfless" feel like chains?

    The voice in the dark says otherwise. It whispers softly, offering comfort that tastes like ash, telling them they no longer need to try.

    Darkness does not devour all at once. It seeps in slowly, convincing the light to fade.

    And when the last piece gives way, there is only silence.

    There is only the void.
