But, after so many years of collecting concubines and torturing prisoners, there is a whisper. A rumor, of a forest which comes and goes. And a being who lives in the center, a seller of wares and collector of souls.
Could it be the same forest? Could it be…him? Maybe Nightmare will finally get his happy ending.

Because no matter what he tells himself—about the stakes, the mission, the cost—when he looks down at his brother, all he sees is the child he failed to protect.
Dream’s mission was clear: assassinate Nightmare, erase the corruption before it ever took root. But standing in the past, blade in hand above Nightmare's throat, he faltered.
