Summary
The Death Painting finally stirs, its cursed energy rippling and its brows furrowing.
“We have company,” Satoru says mildly. “I did say you missed one.”
Yuuji peers hazily up at him. His expression holds neither confusion nor comprehension, only soul-deep exhaustion. Despite that, he turns his head toward the Death Painting.
“That’s my brother,” Yuuji mumbles.
Satoru blinks very slowly, a gesture that’s wasted on the boy still staring at the Death Painting with those tired, tired eyes. “Yuuji, that’s a curse.”
“Half,” Yuuji says. “Or…a third? A third. Two-thirds human.”
“You’re an only child.”
Yuuji makes a noncommittal noise. “Thought so too. Didn’t believe him at first. But I dream, sometimes.”
Satoru takes Yuuji’s face between both of his hands and turns it toward him. Yuuji comes easily, blinking up at Satoru with those big, brown eyes.
“Yuuji,” Satoru says slowly and clearly, “you’re not making any sense.”
A time loop locks Yuuji into the day of the Shibuya Incident. Satoru bears witness to the aftermath.

Moonlight pours in from the open window, and there you sit, a boy with memories that he should not remember, and a curse in his arms.

Yuuji blinks. Heat? Oh. "I don't have a fever," he confirms, moving his face forward so that Gojo can touch his skin properly, no Infinity to stop him. His hand is big and cold and— is that cologne? He buries his cheek deeper into the man's palm and barely notices the way he stiffens, breath hitching like a poorly sealed air balloon.
A curse sends Yuuji to an alternative omegaverse universe without him noticing. He remains unaware while everyone else suffers.

Satoru takes another step forwards, arms spreading wide in excitement, “Yūji-kun! You’re here!”
“Oh my God,” the child repeats breathlessly, sounding far older than any child his age should sound, unable to tear his eyes away from Satoru. The boy shakes faintly, shock maybe, words a shaky exhale, “it’s really- you’re- you look- this is— oh my God!”
Annnnd there’s really no doubting it now.
Clearly those vivid dreams of war, imprisonment and eleven years of growing up is not the dream Satoru had thought it to be since waking up in the infirmary as a seventeen-year-old student, way back before the source of all his problems defected from Jujutsu society.

Summary
Suguru dies and hopes to finally rest. Yet instead his soul is bonded to a random pink-haired teenage monkey as if a curse. Forced to be around Itadori Yuuji from now on, not able to leave, Suguru has to accept his fate and quickly realizes that the boy is not an average human being at all. So, the man decides to teach him about cursed energy. That's what saves Yuuji from becoming Sukuna's vessel and gives him a place in Jujutsu High as a regular student. Suguru can only laugh at how all the familiar paths are being crossed again, a bit nostalgic about the place and people around, with Gojou Satoru observing Yuuji intently. Maybe the curse wasn't that random at all?
Or: In this fic, Yuuji is bonded to Suguru instead of Sukuna, and it changes everything.

On the back of Itadori’s white T-shirt, there’s a text, in bold, black letters, big enough that even if Nanami were almost blind, he couldn’t miss it.

AAAHHH!” Kugisaki screeches, and Yuji jumps.
“Why is the country peasant using makeup that I can’t even afford?!” She yells, stomping over to stare murderously at him.
“Because Sensei takes care of Yuji-kun~.” Gojo brags, his fingers cold on Yuji’s jaw.
“But it’s wasted on him!” Kugisaki somehow manages to sound angry and whiny at the same time.

Yuji looks up, and his Sensei is right there, the only white thing in this place.
“Sensei,” Yuji says, only wondering if he made him up, maybe.
Gojo-Sensei crouches down beside the pool, curious. He’s not wearing a blindfold or shades. Which is why his eyes are almost blinding to look at, amidst the pure black.
Yuji can’t look away, even if they hurt.
