Summary
Will pressed his face to the glass, wishing that he were closer. The man’s cheeks were pale, having thick eyebrows and lips. His nose was long, though it didn’t disrupt the harmony of the man’s features. His eyes were the most captivating part of his face: wide and brown, reflecting the moonlight.
In other words, he was beautiful.
Will found himself blushing, feeling foolish for swooning over the knight, who clearly was just doing his job. He couldn’t help but itch for his parchment and ink, to see the man up close, take in those eyes when they weren’t forced to remain a disciplined neutral.

“I’ve never made more sense than right now and we both know it.”, Mike whines, “If you want to kiss me and I want to kiss you, like, really fucking badly, then why won’t you just let me? Who cares if I’m drunk? I’ll remember it, trust me. And I’ll kiss you fifty more times tomorrow.”
“What if I want fifty-one kisses?”, Will hears himself respond, throat dry and, heck, did he leave on the heater?
“Then, you’ll get a hundred.”, Mike murmurs, slowly but firmly pressing his lips against Will’s jaw, “You’ll get as many as you want. And anywhere you want, for that matter.”

Summary
Will lifts his eyes from the posters on his wall. He misses Bowie and The Cure during the split second his eyes take the road to Mike’s face. When they arrive at their destination, his heart trembles in his chest.
“I’m sorry,” he starts. Eyes still wide and sad. “Don’t be mad at me anymore, I can’t stand it.”
Maybe Will should feel bad for making his boyfriend go through such an emotional turmoil. But when Mike looks at him like this and uses this voice, he can’t hold himself back from enjoying all it. The concept of guilt be damned.
He has the audacity to push it too.

Summary
Will couldn’t remember how long Mike had left his hand on top of his own; it could’ve been hours, because that was what it felt like. Will was surely taken by surprise when Mike leaned across and put his hand on his, perhaps he was in too much of a state to freak out over the feeling of their skin touching, so he relaxed. At Mike’s touch, he stopped shaking, he breathed out slowly… and everything seemed like it could be okay.

Summary
Everything was going so well.
After seeking advice from a new friend who had been in his same shoes, coming out before he was ready and forcing himself to accept that it was all a silly little crush, hearing the words ‘best friends’ from Mike’s lips, and then…a love confession.
And then, one thing led to another, and they found themselves on Will’s bed, making out like teenagers. The frame creaked beneath them, the room quiet aside from their breathing. After a lifetime of loss, Will could never have imagined he would ever be in this situation with someone whom he considered the love of his life, yet here they were. It was new, everything about it, and it was all so fragile and electric. He was lying on his back, with Mike hovering over him and propped up on his forearms to avoid crushing the boy beneath him. Everything was going well, and Will was enjoying himself.
That was, until the voices started.
Or - Will Byers finally getting to be happy until his past catches up to him again, and Mike being a supportive boyfriend

And there Will was, by the staircase, Chance at his neck, kissing him.
Mike flinched.
Blood rushed to his face. He could feel it, the heat burning in him, so he took another swig at his beer, as if that would help. Gulp. He didn’t know where to look. Heck, didn’t know what to do. Will’s eyes were closed now, his head backed up against the wall, neck craned in such an angle that gave full exposure for this…animal to take, to keep taking, to keep kissing him, to leave his mark.
Mike stepped further into the crowd. He was blind to the bodies around him, mindlessly walking forward, a feeling of frustration foreign to him beginning to take shape.
And then Will’s eyes were on Mike.

At first, Mike was unsure how to approach him when he got like this. But they’ve been living together for months now, never further than five feet apart in their dorm beds, so Mike’s learned what works and what doesn’t.
It works when he wakes Will like this, with gentle hands and words, telling him he’s safe. It works when he climbs into Will’s warm bed, turning him on his side and curling up against his back, an arm over his waist and his cheek pressed against his shoulder. They lie together like that until Will’s hiccupping gasps soften into steady breaths, until Mike feels him go limp in his arms and he knows he’s fallen back asleep. It always works.
or: Will has nightmares and Mike is the only one who can console him. Not even Will's boyfriend can. Mike takes great pride in this fact.
