Another take on The Archivist comming back from being kidnapped and forcefully moisturized in MAG101. This time a bit more traumatized (as he should be) and everybody has a slightly better relationship with each other, given Sasha didn't die, because I like her character (as little as they showed of her in the first season, really).Everything else should be just as canon events take place, but if I do change something I will make sure to mention it.

Sophie Foster just wanted a moment of peace. The black swan doesn't need anything right now. The neverseen aren't a current threat. She was supposed to be able to relax. Now there's a new secret group. Leaving notes everywhere. There are strange figures in the woods and she needs to help get to the bottom of it, to keep her friends safe.

It ended up being a boy and when Elias held him for the first time, he stared down at his son with a wide smile and said "Hello, Jon."

When looked at individually, each part seemed like it would belong to a handsome face, but when they were all put together, the proportions were off. It felt a bit like looking at your reflection in a puddle, but with constant waves distorting it.

After a distressing encounter with the Dark, Jon is left a little out of sorts.
Martin, ever the protector, helps him as they search for a solution, together..
Jon just clung to him, arms wrapping as tightly as they could around his neck with their limited strength, the lethargy running through them bone-deep. He buried his head into Martin’s chest, the leather armor cool and solid against his cheek. Martin tried not to focus on how right it felt, how much his heart pounded against his ribcage as Jon nuzzled into him. How perfectly he fit in his arms, with all the ease of breathing.
Dozing off, feeling safe, Jon heard Martin’s voice come one last time, unerringly soft.
“Alright. Let’s get you home, okay?”

The Archivist reached out, worn ragged from his forced captivity, and gripped the handle of the door that had never been there. He slowly turned it and paused for just one moment, as if expecting something to stop him, to save him from this newest horror, as once had happened when he was a small child. But there was no one here but his executioner and, somewhere not far enough away, even worse monsters. Stealing himself with what bravery he had left, he pulled the door open and stumbled inside. The door shut with an echoing slam, leaving no chance for him to change his choice.

Summary
After the Library Incident, people began to speculate.
Some claimed that Berdly was concealing a case of bullying, much to the concern of his teachers. Others insisted that he had overworked himself preparing for the next Spelling Bee, which was approaching fast. However, it was only when Berdly began to fall asleep in class that rumours really began to fly.
The new Dark World had all the temptations that Berdly’s home life lacked. However, people didn’t know all that. Word around town was that Berdly, the star student, hardworking community volunteer, and son of hometown’s renowned doctor, was hiding a habit.
Note for new readers: This fic was written after Chapter 2. Although the final chapter is being posted after Chapter 3/4's release, it won't reflect any updates to the Deltarune canon past Chapter 2. Enjoy!
