Summary
Scott slows to a jog as he sees Derek upright and moving, but Stiles keeps running hard. He slides to his knees on the dirt and moss next to Derek and grabs at his shirt.
“Der?” he asks, over-loud and panicky. He’s oblivious to the gore around them, even though he’s kneeling in it. His hands flutter over Derek’s shoulder where the bite is already healing, patting his chest and face like touch is the only thing that will assure him Derek’s truly in one piece. “Derek, are you okay? Talk to me, say something, please.”
Derek’s not sure what to do with all this unexpected attention, and fights the urge to brush the probing hands away. He’s taken worse in fights before, which Stiles must know. Though, he supposes, they’re something different to each other now.
OR
After years of assuming Stiles would never want more than his friendship, Derek is pleasantly surprised to be drawn into an intense relationship with him. Being with Stiles is good, great even. But then why, exactly, does it feel like they're more distant than ever?

Summary
Stiles is selected by the elders of his village to complete his first assignment as a Journeyman. He's given a knife, directions to the castle, and told his target is a woman. They might have neglected to tell him it's the Queen Alpha.
When he can't complete the mission and he returns to the village, they immediately punish him for his failure by removing him from everyone's memory and consciousness. He is invisible, nameless. Stiles is no more. Now there is only Fox.
And Fox seems to be the target of a very angry ex-prince Derek.

"You should tell him you have feelings for him," Scott continues, blatantly ignoring what Stiles is saying. "It'll probably solve a whole lot of problems. Then you can just sleep together and hang out while not sleeping together without it being awkward. Also, I won't have to listen to months of your moping."

Summary
Stiles is basically doing fine. He's surviving, anyways. So what if it's a struggle to get out of bed most days? Back in high school, everything about the supernatural had seemed edgy and romantic and exhilarating, but after seeing everything he has, wanting to go back to ignorance is only natural. Only then Derek comes back to Beacon Hills and says he's in love with him, and everything changes.

Stiles catches himself at the last minute and blinks hard, as if that might change the fact that, yes, the person sliding onto the stool next to him is Derek Hale. He’s more than back in Beacon Hills, he’s right at Stiles’ elbow. And fuck if the unbidden reaction to that doesn't feel like a return to high school: the palpable uptick in his pulse, the anxious desire to be funnier, louder, and brighter balanced with the feeling that he’s already the best version of himself when he’s got this man’s attention on him.
Derek is smiling, his kaleidoscope hazel eyes flitting intently over Stiles’ face in a searching examination of his features. Stiles can feel his mouth pulling into a wide grin. It’s Derek. Derek’s back.
“Hey, hi,” he says. “Hey there.”

Standing next to not-Derek – whoa, holding not-Derek’s hand? – is someone who looks remarkably like Stiles. Is Stiles, a slightly-altered replica, just like this guy both is and isn't Derek.
It’s not like looking into a mirror – one, because looking into a mirror actually makes some kind of sense, and two, because not-Stiles looks older too, mid twenties maybe. And the tips of his short, spiky hair are dark purple, and he’s got a lip ring and he’s shirtless and covered in tattoos and what the holy hell?
“Time travel?" He's sufficiently freaked. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he hears his dad laughing.
“Not exactly,” not-Derek says, and shit, even his voice sounds exactly the same, disconcertingly gentle. He gestures behind him, and Stiles looks over his shoulder, where behind him, scattered across the porch and in the front yard, are more…Dereks and more Stileses.
Fourteen total, including the two at the door, he notes distantly, eyes feeling like they’re about to pop out of his head from bulging so hard.

Stiles blinks, his throat going dry, and he moves his thumb without thinking - liking the post. He feels a surge of petty satisfaction. At least the fucker will know he knows now. He stands up, his body feeling too heavy, and he blows out the already guttering candles. He lets out a sob of frustration when the last one won't fucking blow out. But he sucks it back in and bites down on his tongue, using his thumb and forefinger instead.
He throws himself into their empty bed without undressing. He lies there repeating the words 'Derek blew me off for Isaac' over and over. He tells himself to shut up while rearranging his pillow violently, but he goes to sleep with the refrain continuing its painful loop.
