    Summary

Long ago the humans went mad. Monsters built massive walls around their cities and huddled for protection, living out their entire lives within these fortifications. One day Chara appears, very much like a human but in many ways not, and insists they are a “person”. This is the story of how they arrived in the Kingdom of Monsters, of the lives they touched, and how they changed the future of monsters, humans, and persons forever.

Possibly the best Undertale love story on this site. It doesn't waste time with the usual 'will they, won't they' crap that most others stories get bogged down by. It's easy to tell how things will progress towards the end, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. It's also a pretty good depiction of love-struck teenagers, without turning them into balls of angst and uncontrollable hormones. (Something that is a bit rare, to be honest.) It also has a VERY interesting setting!

There is nothing explicit here, so it's technically 'safe for work', too.

The Underground was the perfect excuse to reinvent yourself.
To run away from your past.
But now it's only when you're standing on the surface that you realize that persona you made for yourself is about to crash and burn.

    And you're nowhere near ready.

tl;dr: Probably the darkest story I have read in recent memory. One of my favorites.
Edit: This story appears to be dead. A terrible tragedy.

So. Many. Tags. The grammar in the first several chapters is dodgy as hell, but it does get significantly better. Frisk is DFAB... I think? Not that it matters. Second-person POV. Part of a larger series, but this is the only one worth reading at the moment.

    Bookmarker's Notes

A fairly well-written Undertale fan-fic, with an interesting dynamic between Frisk and Chara. (It is NOT a Chara/Frisk story!)

Part 1 is an interesting retelling of the events of Undertale with a focus on character growth (more like CHARA-cter growth. Sorry, not sorry) for both Frisk and Chara.

Part 2 is a post-pacifist story that deals with quite a few topics that may not be for everyone, though. Still an excellent continuation of the story, complete with even more character and world-building. Oh, and intrigue, can't forget the intrigue!

If you like well-written Undertale fan-fics, then this is definitely worth reading.

P.S. I was told by someone that they think this story is a lot like mine, but better.
...I choose to take this as a compliment, lol.

    Summary

"There's no such thing as true hero"

Frisk knows that better than anybody.

The best heroes are those only an inch away from being a villian, the line between good and evil had always been blurry for Frisk and no matter how hard they try they know that deep down pacifism can only get them so far.

These are the stories of the Frisk's that understood that better than the others, the ones who died, fought, and eventually killed to get the happy ending they wanted.

These were the Frisks that did anything to achieve their goals.

Even if it meant becoming a monster.

    Not that they minded.

It just meant they looked more like they did on the inside.

And for once they were perfectly okay with that.

    Summary

An Undertale Post-True Pacifist Series taking place in and around the small town of Ebott's Wake, at the foot of Mt. Ebott in scenic Lost Eagle County, Oregon. A place where monsters emerging from a mountain is NOT the strangest thing that has happened.

Matter of fact, it doesn't even make the top ten.

    Bookmarker's Notes

A great Post-Pacifist series. Honestly, the author's description doesn't do it justice. Pretty much any Undertale fan can enjoy this one. Even though the first part's description makes it sound like it is Gaster-centric, it's really not. He's there, but by no means the main focus.

Incomplete, but still being worked on.
