Sangwon’s pulse hammers so loud that he worries the staff will be able to hear it at the announcement.
On paper, Sangwon is an Alpha. HYBE made sure of that when they added him to Trainee A, their doomed all-Alpha predebut project. Every document says he presented Alpha. It had been a logical guess, both of his parents were Alphas, but somewhere along the line a dormant gene had been passed along.
Because, despite all of his official documents marking him as an Alpha… It isn't true.

Virkelig god. Læste den fra sådan 11:00-20:30 lørdag, den 19/04-2025. Intelligent og med plottwist. Langstrukken i starten - ellers godt skrevet. Heavy på kysseriet og sexen, selvom der ikke er den store grund til det... Ikke som whisperedoblivions, hvor det bliver gjort helt klart, hvad de elsker ved hinanden. Selvom man kan gætte. Romancen er derfor halvdårlig. Men selve plottet giver læseren, hvad de vil have.

‘I’m dead.’ He can’t even hear his own thoughts over the loudness of the world, staggering where he stands, eyes still fixated on the sky, on the sun. ‘I’m dead, I died, I felt my heart stop, this can’t be, it can’t-’
“Hey,” it comes again, a little more urgent than before, a little closer, another hammer to his ears and all the noise shrieking behind his eyes. He recoils hard enough to go stumbling as a hand reaches for him, covered in flesh rather than empty bone, tan and recognizable. Unbelievable.
There’s something wet trickling from his nose. Bile stings on the back of his tongue. The words dissolve into the rest of the white noise as he stares up at the blue of the sky, and tries to remember if he’d ever had a hallucination as bright as this.
‘I have to be dead,’ he thinks. Somehow, he isn’t.

Among that Takumi character study, the coffee one (Sakusa/Atsumu), the escort ones & the observatory eff. (Gen/Senku), and the strawberries (Blue Lock), this is one of the best works on AO3 I have ever read. The language in this is idiosyncratic, it's unfathomable immersive. The storytelling is crazy strong. From this story, I experienced what love is.

What else was he supposed to do when he could feel Satoru’s body heat from across the bed? Or when their hands accidentally brushed as they walked through the hallways at school? Suguru’s heart broke within him, reconstructing, swelling, bleeding, and breaking again each time Satoru’s eyes met his, looking at him in the beautiful way he really only looked at Suguru.
Or (in a less poetic version): the coming-of-age American high school trope but it's Satosugu
