After Sam leaves him to go warn Mike about the sanatorium, Chris discovers that Ashley has disappeared. Injured and alone, haunted by his memories and the ever-present danger, he must navigate the tunnels beneath Blackwood Pines by himself, as he searches for Ashley and tries to make his way to safety.
This fic fills in the missing hour in Chris' timeline between Sam climbing out of the tunnel to the sanatorium and the grand finale at the lodge.

Dylan doesn’t know when he started valuing his friends’ criminal records over not getting actually shot in the body with a pump-action, but it was probably some time between fifteen to thirty minutes ago. The former would follow them forever, the latter, not so great a loss. So he doesn’t move.
He doesn't have a death wish (he doesn't!), but some things are more important to him than making it out of this night alive. Mainly, making sure his friends do. So Dylan is more than happy to throw himself into danger if it means the people he cares about get to see sunrise. Maybe if he uses his brain, he'll get to see it too.

The thought surfaced from the murky depths of Darry Curtis’ mind as he slowly blinked his eyes open, warm dirt pressing hard into the back of his skull. Getting one arm braced against the dry grass, he started to push himself up and immediately had to stop when the world spun around him and his vision blurred, almost sending him back to a prone position. His stomach gave a sickening lurch; whether it was from nausea or anxiety, he wasn't sure. He did, however, recognize what he was feeling from his days playing high school football.
