He's not sure what surprises him more, whether the way jade eyes reflect the weak light cast over them, or recognizing them.
"So it’s you," he breathes out, his reeling mind coming to an abrupt stop.
The dagger nearly slips from his hand.

“I said I wouldn’t hurt you,” he murmurs, like a reminder for the both of them. One hand has reached up to the omega’s hair, curling around pale locks. His other hand is still holding Jimin’s waist, sliding down slightly to his plumping hips. He lifts them with a nudging pull, and the omega follows the lead all too easily. His legs wrap around Jeongguk’s body, heels digging in his back. For the most part, the alpha is still sitting back on his hunches, body curving and hovering over Jimin’s. Like this, as tightly as they’re holding on one another, the omega’s own body is lifting off the stone, coming up with Jeongguk’s slightest shifting. “And I don’t want to,” he continues. It takes Jimin an embarrassing moment to understand what he means, blinking blearily at the other. His arms unlock from around Jeongguk’s neck reluctantly, one hand cupping the alpha’s face. “Then don’t,” he tells him, watching the alpha lean into the touch. Jeongguk’s eyelids flutter close, a low rumble spreading from his chest. It takes Jimin’s mind a moment to register it as a purr, a content vibrating that coils in the depths of his own chest and low in his belly. “Don’t hurt me,” he breathes. “Not tonight.”

“You’re not wearing your ring,” he mutters. It is the last thing he wishes to say, the last in the endless array of options for him to pick from. It is too late to take it back, and Jimin can only inwardly curse at himself as he hears his own voice shape such stupid words.
“What?”
Jeongguk’s voice is rather a rasp, a gush of air heavy with all of his confusion and surprise. Jimin blinks at their hands, at the empty ring finger pressed to his exposed skin. He’s loathed the gold band in silence for days now, and abhors the small sense of relief he finds in its absence now. Tonight of all nights.or, Jimin is a broke college student working at a host club to make ends meet; Jeongguk is a charming and successful businessman, and he's married. None of it seems to be enough to keep them apart, not the ringing bells going off in Jimin's head and not the countless things that could go wrong if anyone were to find out. It is a selfish and harmful love that they share, if one can even call it that.
