The boy was silent for a moment before responding, "I'm your son, mama, I'd never give up on something I loved."
Her heart warmed and she smiled proudly, she traced her fingers through his hair, brushing his unruly bangs from his face.
"Very well!" She said, her hands finding his ticklish spot on his ribs and pulling him close before scratching lightly. Koushi squealed in delight and halfhearted protesting, he continued to laugh as she pulled him closer into a hug. "We can go to the church hall tomorrow and sign you up!"

Suga’s blood turns solid as Waka stands at the door of the classroom. Every hair, every drop of blood in his body shakes and rattles and begs for Suga to run as he and Waka battle stares.
Suga quickly pulls his hands free from Daichi’s, leaping to his feet. He tosses out his hand to keep himself steady and Daichi reaches out to help when-“Keep your hands off of him, Captain.”

"ONE!" the band responded collectively. Hinata felt a shiver climb down his spine. This is where he was meant to be--in the middle of a group of people who loved music as much as he did. For one of the first times in his life, Hinata felt like he truly belonged somewhere. Daichi nodded approvingly at the group before him.
"Alright. Welcome to your first day as a part of the Kumiawase Marching Band. My name is Sawamura, but please call me Daichi. I am your head drum major for this marching season. Our band directors will be here tomorrow, as they're driving back from a meeting today. Still, that's no excuse to slack off. Let's get started with some fundamentals!" Groans and complaints echoed around the field. Hinata joined in with them, hiding his smile behind his euphonium. Yep; they were just like him.
