Summary
Things go a little differently after Percy escapes Whitestone. He finds Ripley earlier, before he even has time to forge the weapon that haunts his dreams. He still gets caught, that part doesn't change, but no one comes to his rescue this time and after becoming tired of caring for his prisoner, his jailer sells him off as a slave for a tidy profit. Exhausted from the manual labor and rough treatment, Percy wakes up one morning to find he had been purchased by a new master - one Syldor Vessar.
Tasked with serving Syldor's twin children, who still reside in the city of Syngorn with him, Percy forms a new path to his destiny and learns that perhaps even as broken as he is, love can still fill in the cracks.

Summary
Tony has been getting kinda used to having people around. He’s become accustomed to Nat and Clint, to Thor and Steve, to Bruce... to sharing meals and laughter, in and around his home.
When the dust settles after Loki's defeat, however, it looks like their time as a Team is coming to its end. Thor announces, "Loki shall return to Asgard," and Tony's new normal feels like it's slipping away.
But then an unexpected rampage leads the Avengers to use Bruce's last-resort formula on Hulk as a first line of defense, and Tony witnesses the team fracture in worse ways than he imagined.

Summary
Others do not touch him.
It is a simple fact of existence, as so many things are, and Thanatos doesn’t think much of it. Mother Nyx has never been one for physical affection, and once his domain properly took shape, he quickly stopped being close to his twin as well. Up on the surface, mortals run from his approach, do not wish him anywhere near their person; even the butterflies that form once Thanatos has taken their souls do not land on his skin, as if the mere contact could kill them a second time.
Others do not touch him. It is a simple fact of existence. He doesn’t think much of it.
Until someone does touch him.

Summary
War is… loud.
She does not mean the skirmish itself, though that, too, is loud. She means the trampling of grass, the uprooting of flowers, the burning of trees. The end of lives, so many lives, growth cut short by the sharp edge of a blade. Her domain dies on the battlefield, again and again and again.
Lord Ares, beside her, is vibrant.
He thrives where she wilts, bloodlust and violence and death his sustenance and her inanition. War and Verdure do not – cannot – coexist.
Yet even here, growth has its place.

It's worth remembering death means something different to the gods. They're called immortal, after all, though mortals have a tendency to think this means they cannot experience death. If that were true, Thanatos supposes they might not dislike him so much.
Well, most of them.
Zagreus dies and turns red and watery as the blood of his domain, runs back to the Styx that feeds the Underworld; Ares, being War, leaves a body.

"Bite."
"No."
"No bite." It swayed slightly, attempting to maintain its balance. Its head must be quite heavy.
Astarion grabbed it under its armpits, surprisingly heavy for a creature of it's size, and lifted it from the ornate chest, placing it gingerly on the ground.
It scampered barefoot across the grimy floor with quiet plaps. Arriving at Tav—Gods, it was only as tall as her hip—it gripped the hem of her tunic. It spun around on one heel, nearly toppling over with the inertia, to address Astarion. It removed the fingers from its mouth with a horrible wet sound and took a deep breath, or what must be deep for something so tiny.

He sees as his companion lowballs the merchant and yet the trade is made, and the fine satin fabric is hers for the taking.
She gifts it to him with a smile, and he knows not how to react.
