Cheol pulls incessantly on her hand, “We need to hurry! She’s right in there. Come on!”
“I know, I know. Just—give me a sec.” She tells him before turning to Ji-yeong. “I’ll call you, okay? I’ll call you when we’re done.”
Ji-yeong squeezes her shoulder in response, nodding. She crouches to Cheol’s level to tell him one last thing. “Good luck, little man.” and smooths his hair down to make sure he looks as presentable as possible. “Say hi to her for me.”

The scent of the sea air gets stronger as they approach the colourful archway which welcomes them to the seafront. Ji-yeong walks with her hand in Sae-byeok’s, who holds Cheol on the other side, feeling a glow of contentment as warm as the sun on her shoulders. So this is what family feels like.
What love feels like.
Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong go on a date to the coast, hang out at an arcade, and come across some familiar faces, all in different kinds of love; romantic, platonic, the families we’re given, and the families we create for ourselves.

They were very excited because she would be getting to stay the entire summer this year, which meant many more memories to make throughout LA. Marcy would be surprised to hear what the both of them will have to fill her in on, but she was excited either way. After all, it was better to hear their voices in real life than just through a screen. And even though she’s excited now, she won’t be when she hears both full stories.
