Chuuya looked down to his phone, seeing a message from an unknown number pop up and ask a simple question: "chuuya! is this you?"
He immediately regretted ever putting his personal cell down on any piece of Mafia paperwork, knowing exactly who the text was from. Fifteen, barely able to keep his cool and control the anger inside of him, he promptly grumbled and responded with a simple answer:
"no."

Summary
This wasn’t how it was supposed to happen. Dazai pressed himself between the toilet and shower, into a corner, the only way he knew how. His feet stumbled as he tried to get himself to stand upright, the gears in his head turning, understanding he had trapped himself here with two very capable individuals now standing in front of him.
Trapped wasn’t something Dazai ever wanted to feel. No, he wanted strong hands and rough leather to glue him back together, he wanted the soft bathmat in a teenage apartment, insults and threats. Dazai needed no pity, he didn’t want the empathy and concern that overflowed from his coworkers, he wanted-
“Chuuya,”
Or: Dazai tries to end his life, Chuuya helps.

Summary
The Armed Detective Agency gets a tip they need to follow up on, it's only coincidence the Port Mafia is following the same lead. Under the truce between organizations, they travel to New York City undercover together and attempt to figure out a mess of complications along the way.
Or: Kunikida, Atsushi, Yosano, Ranpo, Dazai, Chuuya and Akutagawa go to New York City together and attempt to stop a group with its sights set on Yokohama. The mission pales in comparison to what they find out about each other.

Summary
Dazai and Chuuya are extremely private when it comes to the more intimate and vulnerable parts of their partnership, but Yokohama is a small city, and eyes are always watching. A no-contact mission, a visit to the infirmary, a package mix-up and a desolate alleyway have the Agency reconsidering the kind of relationship two former partners truly hold.
Or: Snippets of Dazai and Chuuya’s partnership through eyes other than their own.

Summary
Chuuya rarely gets hurt on the field, between being practically bulletproof and his tactile strategies, he’s almost untouchable. Unfortunately, unpredictable situations arise, which lead Dazai down a road of fickle trust in the people around him.
Or: Dazai has only trusted Chuuya’s life in the hands of others twice. Once at sixteen and once at twenty-two.

It was barely dawn when the phone rang, slicing through the fog of Chuuya’s sleep. He didn’t know why he sat up immediately, why something deep inside him leapt awake with a jolt of unease. There was a tug in his gut, cold and insistent, warning him that something was wrong, that he needed to pay attention.
He answered before he could think.
Mori’s voice came through, precise and cutting, each word falling like shards of ice. “As of last night, Dazai Osamu has left the Port Mafia of his own volition.”
Chuuya’s lips parted, but no sound escaped.
Dazai... left the Port Mafia?
Left him?
It felt like someone had poured a bucket of freezing water over his head.

“Repeat that again for me?” Mori wiped a hand over his face, exasperated. Silence followed through the question. “Sorry I didn’t make myself clear, that was an order. Enlighten me on how you managed to lose your target when he was an inch away from death” He could feel the start of a migraine creeping in.
“Yeah Chuuya! How’d that even happen? Told you you couldn’t handle it. This is rookie behavior” Dazai tsked and waggled a finger in front of Chuuya’s face the way a crossed mother would berate her child. Chuuya simply smacked the finger out of his face, threw his hands up and exclaimed
“This is your fault too shitty Dazai, it’s a paired mission!”
“He was your target!”
OR
One small screw up on a mission lands Chuuya in a tricky situation and a panic stricken Dazai
