“Is there a particular reason you’re not at school right now?”
The kid blinked at him, both hands still wrapped around the cup he’d almost sent flying. He turned to look around himself, as if trying to identify who Derek was speaking to, before realizing that he was, in fact, speaking to him.
“Are you talking to me?” he asked, as if needing it confirmed.
“I sure am.” Derek crossed his arms, going for disappointed as opposed to authoritative. Some of the little shits got all rebellious when he started acting authoritative and he didn’t want to have fists flying. It was always really awkward slapping handcuffs on minors for assault and calling their parents.
The kid gave him an unimpressed look, then rolled his eyes. “Haha, hilarious.”

Bucky (or so he hopes) runs his hand over long, unbound hair. “Yeah, uh, I’m Bucky.” He thrusts out a hand for Tony to shake. “It’s nice to meet you, Tony.”

“Oh?” Bucky says, almost shyly.

Summary
A series of fics set post Civil War. The Rogues, Exvengers, Team Crap - whatever you want to call them - return to the Initiative because of Tony's finangling for reasons that only he knows. But it's not the same, and everyone that Tony has befriended or saved all have the common need to make sure that they understand that. Featuring flashbacks to prominent moments regarding their relationships with the genius, Tony's people are going to do whatever it takes - words, threats, demonstrations, power plays, legal traps, even poetry - to let Rogers and the rest of the criminal bunch know that they aren't playing around any more. The rules have changed and next time, the consequences will be explicit and extensive.

Who hasn't watched Catfish, Right? We know the drill. The picture, the name. It's all lies. No one is honest on the internet. Why would you be?
After hours of watching Catfish, Toni knows this well. Heck, she is often yelling at the TV, asking why and how they were so stupid to fall for it; however, she still allows herself to be drawn in, allows herself to fall for this mystery guy she met online. What the harm? They are just talking and it isn't like he knows she is Toni Stark. Now, it would be a nightmare.
But yet, she won't allow herself to find out who it is. As a genius and an Avenger, she should know better, but she is drowning in her guilt and she can't find herself to worry. She just keeps telling herself not to worry. They are just talking. Heck, there is a smile on her face that she hadn't seen in awhile.

The sheriff watched him for a moment, then he sighed and turned slightly. He reached out to open a cabinet door beside him, and pulled out a shelf. It was on a track, so it rolled out of the cabinet fairly easily, and held a small CCTV. Derek frowned and inched his chair to the side a little bit so he could get a better angle.
He was looking at a teenager, or someone at least young enough to be the same age as Scott. He was sitting on a bed in what looked to be a larger room, the area he was in surrounded by four glass walls, with his legs crossed and head tilted.
He was also staring directly into the camera, as if he knew someone was watching. A creepy smile slowly slid onto the teen’s face, and he held up one hand, wiggling his fingers in a slow, eery wave.
Derek felt his mouth run dry. He didn’t know who this kid was, but he didn’t like him.
“Who is that?” he asked quietly.
“That,” said the sheriff, “is my son.”
