Summary
Kyoko Urameshi never had a good relationship with her younger brother. Yusuke was always her opposite; she considered him a troublemaker and lacking in intelligence, just as he considered her mean and incompetent.
But when she saw her brother's body in a coffin, her world shattered into a thousand pieces. Upon hearing the news that Yusuke might come back to life, Kyoko became even more interested in the mysterious world that surrounded her brother, diving headfirst into a new life filled with tribulations.
Through all of that, she felt a strong and incomprehensible emotion when she first encountered a strange boy with the most intense red eyes she had ever seen.

That dimwit is hers, and his mama is far too young to really be a mother to him, so Genkai might as well claim her too.(Or, Genkai saw 30-year-old Atsuko arguing like a teenager with her 15-year-old son and went "Oh hells, they're both infants. Is anyone looking after these babies? No? Mine now." without waiting for anyone to try and stop her.)

Well, if you go far enough back, they really started as enemies. Then allies, teammates and for a hot minute, Hiei was Yusuke's hired mercenary - paid with the Black Chapter. At the first Makai Tournament, they were technically enemies again, even if they never fought. And allies once more, when Reikai was held hostage.
Somewhere in the middle of all the chaos, Hiei had decided 'friend' was a word he could also begrudgingly tack on to Yusuke. Not that Hiei ever told him that.

What on Earth could it be this time? Kurama stumbled out of bed, squeezed out of the nightie, and stared, openmouthed, at the reflection of his naked body in the mirror.
There stood not a boy, not a girl, but a woman, a gorgeous, redheaded woman with big green eyes, huge breasts, a slim waist, flat stomach, and pronounced hips. She stood at five-seven, shorter than her male counterpart's six feet, and as he ran his fingertips over the hills and valleys of her body, Kurama realized that this body was, in fact, his own. His hair was the same, his facial features a little gentler, and his body was drastically changed.

Shortly after the Dark Tournament, Yusuke and his friends are shocked to wake up in an alternate reality where all four of them are female. Koenma's convinced them that this is a "hiccup" in the space-time continuum and they'll soon be back to their own reality, but they're going to have to adjust to seeing the world from a female perspective until that happens, and that's anything but easy. There's nothing Team Urameshi wants more to return to their bodies, but if they do, this experience isn't one they'll soon forget. And they just might become closer as a result.
