The I.M.P. office was unusually quiet that morning, quiet enough that Moxxie dared to believe he might finally get through a stack of invoices without interruption. That hope died the moment the front door banged open and Blitzo swaggered in, twirling a pistol on his finger and wearing a grin that promised chaos. “Big payout today,” Blitzo announced, hopping onto the reception desk. “Easy solo gig. Which means you two lovebirds are on puppy duty.”
“Puppy duty?” Moxxie repeated, already suspicious.
Before he could demand clarification, a black-and-silver blur zipped across the floor. A tiny hellhound pup no bigger than a coffee mug skidded to a stop between Moxxie’s legs, spiked tail wagging. It yipped, a sharp, ear-piercing sound, then bolted again, scattering papers.

Hell…Pentagram City is in the middle of a newspaper war headed by overlord-magnates Vox and Alastora. Vox, flanked by his best writer and rumoured lover Valentino, controls one of the city’s most influential papers while Alastora, flanked by the ultimate fashionista and writer Angel Dust, controls the other paper. Sensationalism is the word of the day.
And the story on everyone’s lips is reform. Social reform, industrial reform, environmental reform, you name the reform someone is pushing it and the three big names in reform are Princess Charlotte Morningstar, Mayor Rosie Vos and Prince Stolas of the Ars Goetia, but reforms anger people and people can be panicky and violent at times.
Meanwhile, five hellborn make their way towards Pride. They may even become the grit in the cogs of the machine of Hell.

Blitz never adopted Loona, never broke Moxxie out of jail, and never met Millie. Octavia is left to the often fickle affection of her mother.
But a fallen angel breaks the isolation of the Princess of Hell while a former circus performer looking for an easy way to make money brings together her own little team.
And in the middle of it all, a little seemingly innocent doe sinner may hold all the answers, but her shattered little mind won’t let her find any of them as all she hears is a static filled voice inside her head.

Moxxie has been keeping the books at IMP for years. He knows how their budget works.
So when Blitz refuses his request for a raise, Moxxie knows that money must be going somewhere.
Moxxie reads Karl Marx and forms a union at IMP. He has a plan: he knows that the wealth of the company is generated by the value of his and his coworkers' labor, and if he were to threaten Blitz by withholding that labor, he could win himself a say in the workplace.
But it's not that simple. Blitz whips out every trick in the book to crush Moxxie's plans, and Millie, wanting to keep the peace, is less than supportive.
But there is still one more employee at IMP. Does Moxxie have a chance with...her?
Will the union collapse into a pile of personal arguments and dashed hopes? Or is there something much bigger on the horizon for IMP?
