They meet some friends from Jack's past and everything changes drastically for the future. What will Jack and Katherine do to ensure their survival as well as the boys?

The boys win the strike and everything goes back to normal. The prices are down, the striking has stopped, and the threat of The Refuge is still looming over them. And Charles Morris has been missing for 30 more days than they were told he’d be serving.

Since this fic has remained unedited for over a year, I thought I should post the rest of what I had already written. I unfortunately doubt I will add anything more and so I apologise for the incomplete story, although it is more of a character study than a plot driven narrative so there won’t be any cliffhangers. Hope you enjoy!
