Summary
When Morrison had sent her all the way up to the freezing north to a backwater shrine halfway up a mountain on some rumours of demonic activity, Lady had expected an idiot trying to release a seal again. Then a blue-clad figure had come smashing through the cavern's wall, and even through all the dust, there was no mistaking Vergil. Not just -any- idiot, then. Whatever his plan is (and whyever he's not dead at the top of the Qliphoth as Dante had said), Lady's not about to let him get away with it.
Except... Vergil is nothing like what she remembers, especially when he interacts with Griffon and the other demons, and Lady's curiosity overtakes her doubts. Maybe, just this once, she can ask questions first and shoot later.

Demons and Humans have been fighting for nearly 30 years now. But eight years ago, Dark Knight Sparda woke up to justice and took the side of humanity. He has taught them magic and fought alongside them in eight long years of furious war in which humanity has pushed the Demon Army out of most of Europe. The Demon Army has been whittled down and Mundus' once mighty army stands almost equal in number to mankind's. But the years have been long and humans do not have forever to fight. Moves are being made and soon this war will have ended. Only a few can end victorious.
