But star-crossed doesn’t quite fit, does it? No, more accurately, star-crossed would be two loves from different districts trapped in the game together, fighting for their feelings and for their lives.
Jughead Jones, coming from District 12, knows he’ll have to do whatever it takes to survive.
Betty Cooper, the prime pick of District 2, had no intention of falling in love. Her father taught her how to be a killer and she would win these games by shutting off all emotion.
The viewers love a good romance, this has already been proven. When Betty can’t bring herself to kill Jughead, something is set into motion that neither could have predicted.
It can’t possibly work again, could it? The odds, as everyone very well knows, are never in your favor.

All he can think of is Alice waiting somewhere in the wings, probably picking at her nails and running through her ‘routine’ under her breath. Her body doesn’t hold many mysteries for him. They’ve both seen each other naked before, even if they’ve never fucked. They’ve been swimming and changed hastily and walked in on one another half-dressed. They’ve gotten their shirts off before while kissing, pawed at each other’s chests and legs and asses.
But then she comes out in a cut-off fringe top and Daisy Dukes, wobbling slightly in borrowed heels that are too small for her, and he stops thinking so… pragmatically. He stops thinking at all. Alice squints in the spotlight and runs her hand through her tangled blonde hair, pulls out her trusty scrunchy, lets it fall to the ground. Her legs seem impossibly long and her face seems impossibly bright, stained a greenish bluey red from all the neon lighting around the bar. It casts a weird halo around her head, like some kind of futuristic angel.

The Blossom twins went out on a boat ride just after dawn. Only Jason Blossom returned alive, his twin slumped over him, shot in the chest, their clothes (once white) drenched in her blood. Sheriff FP Jones has no choice but to arrest the Blossom boy. Jason swears he didn’t kill her. She was his twin.
Shooting that girl was an accident, but Fred had to admit that he was glad to benefit from the boy’s arrest. Murdering Hiram had been a lapse of judgement on Fred’s part. Things can go back to normal. Except that Hermione has shown up and insisted they marry.
Veronica Lodge doesn’t know that she believes that Jason Blossom killed her father. His sister? Sure. Everyone has been whispering about how close – too close – the Blossom twins were. The facts for her father don’t add up. Why would her mother have uprooted their lives from the Dakota and Spence to Riverdale and – ugh – public school, and why would she marry a blue-collar construction worker if she wasn’t trying to hide something? Her new stepbrother is a typical jock, and the only person whose remotely caught her eye is his girlfriend, Betty.
