Summary
Looking back, it was pretty damn obvious Steve wasn’t straight.
He’s always been clueless when it comes to how he feels because emotions are…big. So big, that usually he just locks them away in the box in the back of his head and seals it with heavy chains and a padlock. Emotions were a weakness and Steve Harrington was not weak, regardless of what his track record with fights would say.
It takes a lot of strength to get your ass kicked all the damn time and still get back up for another punch.
If he had to name the moment when he actually started opening that steel box in his brain, it would be meeting Robin and sealing their friendship with trauma, Russian drugs, and sharing ‘to the grave’ secrets on the dingy floor of a mall bathroom.

Eddie felt something slip out of his back pocket. He spun to see an unfamiliar face holding his black bandana. “What the fuck, man?” Eddie said, trying to take it back, but the man stepped out of his reach with a smug smile. He walked away, tucking the bandana in his back right pocket. Eddie’s jaw dropped and his heart sped up. ‘Was I just propositioned?’ Eddie got his answer when the man turned, flipped him the middle finger, and quickly winked at him. The cigarette almost slid out of Eddie’s mouth as he watched the man walk around the corner.
“Dude just stole your fucking bandana,” Gareth said angrily.
Eddie realized he wasn’t breathing and took a deep breath. He blinked off his trance, swallowed, and took a long drag of his cigarette. “Yeah,” he huffed with a plume of smoke. “Who was that?” he said quickly as he spun to look at Gareth.
Gareth furrowed his brow at Eddie. “I'm surprised you haven’t heard of him, the girls won’t shut up about the douchebag. His name’s Billy Hargrove, he and his sister just transferred here.”

Eddie spluttered out a cough.
“What do you mean? It’s like…it’s an accessory, like my rings.”
Steve raised an eyebrow and scoffed softly.
“Doesn’t seem like just an accessory with that reaction.” Eddie looked away, suddenly very interested in a torn bit of carpet next to his shoe. Steve sighed and rolled onto his back again, his head coming to rest next to Eddie’s hip. “C’mon, I thought we were like, y’know, pretty good friends now. You wear it every day, it obviously has some kind of meaning.” Steve knocked his hand into Eddie’s denim-clad skin. “You can tell me, I don’t bite.”
Shame, because I do, Eddie thought.It's the summer of 1986, the Upside Down is destroyed, the kids are safe, and Eddie Munson has to be in the process of being karmically punished for saving the world if the way Steve Harrington is smiling at him is any indication of his current universal standing.
A little bit of a fix-it fic where Steve and Eddie take forever to realize they're in love that came to me like a dream while listening to 'Sex' by the 1975.

When Steve’s parents decided to move them across the country into an ancient house he thought it was a joke. He thought it was an even bigger joke when they never even bothered moving their own things into the house and just abandoned him there. New school, new nightmares and worst of all? He can’t figure out how the hell to relate to those kids.
Creaky floorboards and flickering lights? Well the house is old as shit. But he’s no handy man so not only is he trapped in a creepy old house but it’s also fucking broken.
So he’s friendless, alone and stuck in a place he doesn’t recognize. Oh and apparently his house is called the Murder house. Awesome. All thanks to his asshole parents.
Well, until he meets some stoner heavy metal loving weirdo that’s getting high in his backyard like he owns the place. Unlikely friends in weird ass places.
Who knows what else might be in store for him.

Steve knew that he wasn't the most intelligent man in the world. He was never very academically gifted. He had never found any passion or hobby that required special knowledge. He didn't have any skills that set him apart from the majority, really. Something Steve did have, however, was social skills and he knew that he was good at reading people. So, he certainly never expected to be in a situation where Robin was explaining social cues to him.

So eventually Steve has to break down and just come out with it. Explain that yeah he’s still fairly new to oral with men but even when he was with girls he really just loved pleasing his partners. Loved when girls sat on his face, or held him there by his hair. And he wants that with Eddie. He loves giving Eddie pleasure and he wants Eddie to use him like those girls.
