In other moments, Bedelia sits across from him, face poised in the typical mix of curiosity and resignation he is sure she reserves only for him and for Hannibal. “What would you say this is,” she asks, “this place where you stand now? Is it the gates of hell? Or the mouth?”
Will’s throat is dry, and the morning breeze moves through him as if totally unhindered by his individual atoms, and he does not know the answer to that question.
OR Will and Hannibal survive the fall and take shelter in a small house in the woods. They have some things to discuss, and Will has some decisions to make.

"Fuck, Hannibal," Will crawled his way to the other side of Hannibal, their small bathroom crowded. He sat on the edge of their tub, reaching out a hand to run through Hannibal's grey fraying hair that always sat in a state of disarray now. The older man groaned, wiping his mouth with his hand. It wasn't a pretty sight, the spit threads dripping from Hannibal's lips and the discolored gunk on the the back of his hand that didn't seem to bother him. He flushed the toilet, Will's knees bumped the toilet bowl. It smelled bad.

"Sorry." Hannibal gulped, gagged a little but overall seemed unbothered. Somehow, almost, this was nice.-

Summary
After their fall, Will and Hannibal are pulled from the ocean, injured but alive. Unfortunately, they soon discover that Hannibal has amnesia, and most of their time together has been erased. Hiding in Lithuania, Will struggles to cope with this, worrying that Hannibal might view him as a threat, rather than what they had become together, even as Hannibal struggles with his own ruined mind.
