Summary
The world is dominated by magicians who have established an elite system at Hogwarts to pass on the art of magic to ‘real’ magicians. Muggles, on the other hand, are marked as a permanent danger and considered to be without magic. Every year, a few Muggles come to Hogwarts to be exploited. In the beginning, all humans were equal. Everyone had natural magical powers within them, without spells or anything else. But some wanted more, and so dark magic was created, which demands a high price. A small elite group formed, spreading misinformation about Muggles and forcing them into a system that described dark magic as the only magic that existed.
Hermione is mourning the loss of her Muggle friend and finds herself on a secret mission to take revenge on the magicians at Hogwarts. She is accompanied by the caoineadh, which she sang when she found her murdered friend. Also, words in general, poems and stories are giving her some unknown strength. She discovers powers within herself and accidentally binds Draco to her, who is already on other missions.
