Jumping into the alien portal spitting out the giant death machines they'd been fighting for the last two decades wasn't really a great idea after all. But they were out of passive options, so he'd said all his goodbyes, made the government promise to put his death to good use if he didn't come back, and sent it.

    Of all the things, ending up stranded in a desert and blindly following a group of sinfully rich alien pilots (because they definitely didn't speak any Earthen language) was not one he had planned for.

    At least they also seemed to be dealing with the same giant evil alien problem as Earth.

Mikaela notices his silence and emotional withdrawal, and when Sam refuses a ride from Bee, she takes action. She asks Bumblebee to contact Optimus Prime.

    Optimus arrives, and his gentle, sympathetic tone triggers Mikaela’s frustration. She calls him out for beating himself up while letting Sam think he’s the one to blame. Realizing the miscommunication, Optimus agrees to speak with Sam.

    When Optimus finds Sam walking alone, Sam resists his approach. But Optimus gently insists, and Sam, reluctantly moved by the Autobot leader’s humility, agrees to talk.

    Starscream and Skywarp, little terrors that they are, aren't always making life easy for him, but Thundercracker is determinated to protect and take care of them, no matter what. It's not like any member of their extended family tried to get custody or help them, after all, so he's quite aware they are on their own.

    The roughness, sadly, seems to only have started when their supply ship finally run out of luck, and straight into Autobots' path...
