Summary
Keith has never been so nervous--not while fighting the Galra, and certainly not while flying a massive metal lion--than he is to meet Lance's family. It's stupid, he thinks, being afraid of a room full of people his boyfriend adores, but he's better suited for fighting, which is why he's glad he's only staying two weeks.
Lance is wrong three times: he thought returning home would be easy, he thought Keith had the same plans as him, and he thought he was done with the war.
Or: when Allura dies, they don't get to say goodbye. Grief, Altean marks, and all that follows.

Voltron doesn’t see this, Keith remarks detachedly as he wipes the blood off of his hands from when he tried but failed to save another rebel. They don’t know the numbers of rebels dying every day in the hope that they were bringing the universe one step closer to stopping Zarkon.
How could they?
They haven’t experienced loss of life on such a scale at such a close distance like this. They don’t have to talk to these people, learn their name and story, before watching them die in order for some greater cause.
They are a part of the battle, but they still walk above it like gods. They don’t know that every decision they make has the lives of hundreds on the line. Thousands.

Summary
Lance is the prince of Altea and doesn’t have a lot of freedom. That only gets worse once his mother is killed by a group called ‘the blades’.
On the other end, a young boy is born who can be sent to altea for one reason—kill the prince. That’s Keith obviously.
Will he do it? Will they develop a secret romantic relationship? Probably, but the story is pretty interesting so you should definitely read it <3

Keith always felt like he never fit in, when his Galra heritage was revealed it certainly didn't help his situation. Keith was used to abuse, lived it most of his life; so, he should be fine when it starts happening in space, right? From people he's fighting along side with to save the universe, the same people who he thought he became family with and would never give up on him.
The only person that never gave up on Keith was Shiro, and that's all Keith ever needed until it isn't...
The Dads of- I MEAN, BLADE of Marmora, are more than happy to have Keith living on base, that option was always available for Keith. The Blades were disturbed by learning what's been happening to Keith; they were OUTRAGED when they had to discover that Keith was a young kit in the Galra eye from unfortunate circumstances. Too bad they're in a war, if that weren't the case the Blades would've gladly eliminate everyone who'd dared harm their kit.

After everything Keith has been through, he knows better than to expect any form of 'Happily ever after' but if there is anything his time in space has taught him, it is that loss and gain is a cycle that needs to be repeated to maintain a balance in the universe.

Summary
The Blade mission is dangerous but Keith is confident that between himself and Lance, who along with the Red Lion is integral to the success of it, they’ll be fine. However, as the mission progresses Keith is finding it harder and harder to ignore the fact that Lance keeps making himself a human shield and sacrificing his own safety for Keith’s and it's reminding him far too much of his own decision on Naxzela and what he almost did to keep the others safe.
But now that horrific pattern of self-sacrifice has come to a head as Lance is injured protecting Keith. And it's not just a terrible wound: Lance is poisoned and slowly, painfully dying before Keith's eyes. Unlike Naxzela where he could at least do something (even if it would have cost him everything) there's nothing he can do to save Lance. Nothing except hope for a miracle.

He woke up with a gasp, taking a deep through stale lungs. His first few breaths strained his chest, causing him to wheeze and gasp in pain. His hands go for his throat, pulling at a cloth around it. A necktie, his brain suggests.
He can feel the close walls close in around him, trapping him in this dark hell with cushion- cushion? What the hell? Heith moved his hands to the walls, pushing at the soft surfaces. They were solid, not budging when he pushed on them. The ceiling was too close to his face, causing him to panic the most.
Or: The aftermath of Honerva messing with the time-space continuum brings Keith's Dad back to life, 12 years in the future.
