Harry Potter unwanted by his relatives is abandoned in the woods several hours away from his Aunts home on Privet Drive in early November 1981. But he was not alone in those woods.
Aleta Ogord, Ravager Captain, second only to the admiral of the fleet her estranged husband, loves exploring new planets. Or new areas of old planets in search of something new. Terra surprises her more than most planets do. This time though she's gotten a little more than she thought was possible.
Ravagers don't do kids, but she can't just leave the little one out in the cold under a bush.

Summary
Midway through the 1800s, hundreds of "Offworlders" were stranded on Earth. Yondu Udonta was one of those Offworlders; he and his Ravager family have made a home in the Old West of the United States. Through various circumstances, he finds himself falling in love with a Human woman named Meredith Quill, and at odds with her sadistic sometimes-lover, a man known simply as Ego. When Yondu finds a small boy, the only survivor of a massacre, pieces start falling into place and Yondu's life gets more complicated - and dangerous.

“Kraglin!” he shouts, his voice tight. “Get to cover!”
The order stuns Kraglin for just a moment.
Long enough to watch the man press something on the device he was holding.
There’s an odd fizzing sort of sound, then Yondu’s eyes roll into his head and he collapses motionless onto the ground.
Kraglin turns and runs.
He tries his best to tune out the man's mockery as he rounds a corner, grits his teeth and bears it, skidding to a halt in front of an innocuous looking control panel.
Because “Get to cover” wasn’t just an order. It was a code.
Call for help.
In all the years he’s been Yondu’s first mate, he had never heard him give that order.
The control panel comes to life under his fingers, and he hesitates for a split second, because here he has a decision to make and not a lot of time to do it.
There’s two codes for sending out distress signals. The first alerts the nearest Ravager ship in the area, and is one of the first things any new crew member learns after earning their leathers.
The second is known only by the captain and the first mate.
To directly summon the flames themselves.
Obviously, it's only supposed to be used in the most dire of situations, and he’s pretty sure that the Captain would be pissed at him for doing it. He knows Yondu like the back of his hand. Admitting to his friends (because that's what they are, regardless of whether or not Yondu wants to say it out loud) that he’s in that desperate of a situation would be a tough pill to swallow.
But the image of Yondu’s prone body on the floor is all it takes for him to input the code without a second thought.
He can feel the effects of the gas finally starting to catch up to him, which is probably why he hadn’t felt the presence of another body beside him until a giant fist slams into the side of his skull.
He can do nothing except crumple to the ground and watch as a Baluurian hoists Yondu over his shoulder like a sack of yaro root.
“Did he manage to get a call through?”
A grunt. Negative.
Truly ingenious design choice on the Ravagers behalf, to make it look as if no signal was sent out at all, Kraglin thinks half frantically. His vision is swimming, but he can just about make out the red skinned man patting Yondu’s cheek condescendingly.

Martinex looks at the man on the floor- he’s still passed out cold, he must have been hit really hard- and then over at Stakar. “You know,” he says, “if you had a unit for every blue skinned, red eyed, anger issued little freak who liked harming people with projectiles that you’ve picked up, you’d have two units.”
The Ravager captain looks over at his first mate, entirely unamused. Martinex smiles back; “It’s weird that you had one in the first place, but now you've got two.”

Loki isn't found by any obnoxiously colored alien after he fell from the Bifrost, just one that glows a little.
AKA. The events of Thor 1 happen two years early; Loki spends time with the Ravagers, a group led by a man named Stakar Ogord. For whatever reason the captain keeps him around, giving him a jacket with flames and making him part of the crew- Loki's confused, wasn't he supposed to die after falling into the Void?
