Set in 1800s Victorian Europe.
Disgraced Swiss scientist Victor Frankenstein, an accomplished yet deeply troubled surgeon, seizes a final chance to redeem his reputation by seeking fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Yet the very creation that could restore his honor is, to him, a sinful defect he cannot bear to confront.
To refine his creature, Adam, into a man fit for society, Victor enlists the help of Elizabeth Harlander, his brother William’s fiancée and the woman Victor secretly desires. Elizabeth, trapped in an engagement to a man who sees her more as ornament than partner, begins to lose faith in her future marriage. As she teaches Adam language, manners, and humanity, she finds herself drawn to him, emotionally, spiritually, and dangerously.
Her growing affection for Adam does not go unnoticed. Consumed by jealousy, fear, and wounded pride, Victor becomes determined to destroy the bond forming between them… even if it means sabotaging Adam’s transformation, Elizabeth’s happiness, and the fragile life he has built.

still grief stricken over the loss of her child, and still only a teenager, she takes comfort in daily walks to the park where she meets her own creature.
He's not that bright, but a doctor suggests it's not a disorder, rather just a lack of care to his education.
With Percy and Claire growing closer, Mary finds comfort in teaching her creature, showing him how to speak, to read and write, even how to philosophize.
But between the two of them, their lack of family and a giving love to a man who does not harbor the same passion they do leaves them finding comfort in their strange friendship.
The have never been normal, why start now?I got to visit Bath recently, where most of the book was written, and my hostel was a stones through away from the roman Baths where she lived. I'm also VERY excited for the movie because I can already see all the love that's been put into the creature.
