Summary
I've adopted the story "Crimson Joy" from its original writer. The premise of the story is still the same, Vergil survives his death as Nelo Angelo somehow and is now on Fortuna being experimented on. He escapes with the help of a version of Nero who got his "devil arm" five-six years early and the two must survive together as Nero is still a child and Vergil is still healing. And more importantly, there's an undeniable bond between them, an unmistakable connection, that binds their destinies together.

Summary
Nero blinked, then let out a huff, glancing away momentarily. "You're late, Dad."
"I'm aware," Vergil replied. He paused. "I apologise. There were some… complications."
He had already come to terms with the fact that his father wouldn’t show up for his birthday—truthfully, he’d resigned himself to the familiar sting of disappointment. But when Vergil did arrive, Nero wasn’t even remotely prepared for the gift he brought with him. Not by a long shot.

Summary
"Father, respectfully, for the sake of my sanity, I need you to be completely and utterly honest with me." Vergil pleaded, feeling a mixture of horror, shock, and dread pooling in his stomach. The last time he felt this disturbed was when he found out Dante had been given access to his cooking supplies unsupervised. "Understood?"
"Shoot, kid. You've been dealing with all my questions, might as well acknowledge yours," His father, the supposed "demon knight" of legends, nodded, before breaking into a small coughing fit. Ever since he returned from limbo, he'd been weaker- now stuck as a feeble old man with a smoking habit. Vergil briefly paused, concerned that getting answers would give him a heart attack or some other fleshy human ailment resulting in his death, but with a shaky breath- his resolve steeled, his eyes narrowing.
"Did you and Mundus have sexual relations?" He asked, flinching as heard Dante spit out his beer from the living room, along with feeling Nero's gaze stab into his back with a pure "what the fuck" glare. However, that didn't matter when he saw his father's face flush, purple eyes looking away as he hastily took a drag of his cigarette. "... You didn't-"

Summary
She knows that Dante would burn this entire island down.
Nero was Dante’s nephew, and he was being used as a lab experiment.
Skipping a few pages, she found pictures of the boy. The most recent picture showed a six-year-old boy wearing white clothing and staring blankly back at the camera. Trish could see tired lines, and her heart clenched when she saw how pale he was. Dante was pale, but this kid was almost deathly pale.
Fuck.

Or, Trish becomes a mom and wants to burn down a building.

"It was you, wasn’t it?"
Vergil’s eyes flicked up, barely a shift—but it was enough for Nero. The question landed like a dropped stone into still water.
"You raised the tower," Nero said again, more certain this time. "The Temen-ni-gru. That was you."

There were things that needed to be said—unanswered questions and unfinished conversations that had Nero waiting long enough.

Summary
“What do you want ?” Vergil spat, standing defensively in front of Nero.
“I think you already know. I want Nelo Angelo.” Mundus' lackey chuckled, taking a few steps closer. “ It can be that child, or it can be you, but I’m not sure how long that boy will last.”Vergil glanced back at Nero, he couldn’t leave him to suffer that fate. It was above his strength and that monster was aware of that. There was no real choice here and they both knew it. Another lifetime of torture and slavery until his demise for a chance at Nero’s salvation. A one way trip back into his worst nightmares.
“So ? Do we have a deal ?” The demon asked.
"Yes."

Summary
Her husband had lived for nearly two millenniums before meeting her. Of course there had been others who'd seen in him what she had.
But the raw emotion in those words, the youthful passion and hope... She could almost see this young Matier standing at some island shore, scanning the horizon for a glimpse of white hair and a purple coat. Had Sparda returned? Had he...? Eva shook her head sharply, forcing herself to fold the letter with deliberate care. She was a grown woman, secure in her marriage, not some jealous schoolgirl.
And yet...
Wait. Why had he kept the letter?
Eva Sparda's life was already complicated enough - between managing a household with twin half-demon sons, protecting her prized roses from 'training accidents,' and watching her legendary demon husband attempt to operate a modern toaster. She didn't need to discover a cabinet full of passionate love letters from his past, written in everything from ancient tongues to perfumed paper with demonic claw marks on it.
Who knew the legendary Sparda family's greatest weakness wasn't holy weapons or demon hunters but a horde of ancient love letters and his wife's fury? -

Summary
Dante settled into the worn, faded cushions of the seat, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he glanced at his brother. “Do you remember what we used to do as kids?” he teased, his eyes twinkling with nostalgia.
Vergil's face contorted into one of absolute revulsion, his lip curling in disdain. He pierced Dante with a sharp, contemptuous gaze that seemed to dismiss the very notion. “Absolutely not, Dante,” he retorted, his voice dripping with irritation. “I will not engage in such a ridiculous charade,” he spat.Vergil may be a master at many forms of battle, but fatherhood? That's one conflict he still needs to figure out. Dante proposes an unconventional solution when Nero's birthday approaches: a good old-fashioned twin switch. For once, it's not the worst idea his younger brother has had—much to his reluctant acceptance at the wager of competing with his brother. There's just one catch: Vergil must stumble through maintaining his brother's chaotic persona...

Summary
Vergil's reflection bore the marks of his sleepless nights - skin even paler than usual against the light blue of his coat, shadows deepening beneath eyes that had taken on a fevered gleam. His composure remained in every perfectly-arranged strand of silver-white hair, in each measured step. There was something brittle in it now, like ice just before it splinters. Power was everything, yet here was weakness made visible in the mirror, mocking him. The ancient writings became an anchor, something tangible to focus on besides the echoes of thunder and rain, of Dante's voice calling out to him before he'd walked away.
In which Vergil's encounter with Dante after the pre-DMC3 manga led to the elder twin's increased nightmares and bouts of insomnia. Taking a seeming demonic sleeping remedy from Arkham, the elder twin finds himself caught between strange visions and faces of himself yet to pass. Will Vergil be willing to listen to himself, or will he be forever destined to walk his current path?
