    To start off with the obvious, he was a teenage mutant ninja turtle! A Mad Dog!
    And he was the youngest of his brothers.
    Michael was a pro at skateboarding, cooking and he was a Hero of NYC!
    He was often happy, often the most emotionally intelligent and aware of his family, and he was often sad!
    He was also traumatised and devastated by the Shredder and the Kraang.
    So yeah, Michaelangelo Orange Hamato was many things.

     

    But One thing Mikey often wasn't?
    It was Angry.

    And right now, Michelangelo wasn't just angry.
    He was fucking livid.

    Mikey was known to retreat into his shell when stressed or scared. It was a daily occurrence, and his brothers had gotten used to carrying him home after a particularly tough fight or moving him to his bed after he'd scared himself into his shell while watching a scary movie.

    They always knew he would be back out of the shell with his happy-go-lucky attitude in no time, so they never worried.

    But this time was different. Mikey wasn't coming out of his shell.
    Almost dying wasn't as easy to shake off as a horror movie.

    So he found himself crouched down on the weathered porch, prodding at the chips of paint that flaked off the wood. He could subtly feel the sharp splints of loose slivers digging into his knees. The brisk wind licked against his scales, providing him a teaspoon of comfort from the desolated air…

    Based off similar to the Frozen movie/musical; Long ago, Mikey was chosen by a magical god and blessed with magic powers when he was a baby

    One night the young three turtles played with Mikey and his powers until they begin to roughly treat his magic like a toy, which causes Mikey to accidentally caused his psychic powers to explode and blast the three turtles unconscious.

    After the ancient folk heal them and had their memories erased of Mikey's magic; Mikey was forced to conceal his powers by Splinter when a horrible vision was foretold if Mikey loses control of his magic again, his family may be doomed.

    One day they were called to the Nexus World where Mikey was chosen to be part of the Hall of Fame of Champions and a Coronation Ball was to be held in honor for him.

    The Ball went well until Mikey and Splinter got into a heated argument which causes his psychic powers to erupts and creates chaos in the palace, causing Mikey to fled in shame and fear.

    It's up to Splinter and the turtles to save Mikey from a tyrannical emperor who wants him dead and to convince Mikey who has found a friend that helps him along with his powers to come home and let them help him better before things get worse

    Or: Michelangelo's brothers deal with their grief and trauma in different ways after the loss of Splinter finally settles in, eventually, they all leave in one way or another-- only he remains. It doesn't help that something is lurking in New York.

    “Jesus,” Donnie mutters, rubbing his forehead. He’s already so fed-up with Mikey after like three seconds of conversation that Mikey can feel his eyes start to sting. “The last thing I want to do is fight with you, Mike. I thought you liked Cowabunga Carl.”

    It’s not fair. Donnie’s so smart. He’s tired and overworked and unhappy, but he’s smart. How can he get this one thing so wrong? How can he not know Mikey as well as he used to, like all of those years of being each other’s best friends and co-conspirators and secret-keepers from where they were relegated to the “B Team” aren’t as intrinsic and important and fundamental to him as they are to Mikey? How can he look at Mikey, right in the face, and not understand him at all?
