Summary
Three years have gone by since the incident that the world of Gaia had started to call Meteorfall and the Planet seems to have reached a point, from which it can only become better: Sephiroth is defeated, the last Jenova Cells are lost, Shinra's last secret, Deepground, is shattered and the Tsviets are dead. Even the last Weapons, Omega and Chaos, have returned to the Lifestream. This should be the opportunity to rebuild the world – everything could return to normal.
But life is never this easy and what looks good on the outside can have terrible consequences deep down.
The population of Gaia has been decimated drastically, Sephiroth's will continues to haunt the Lifestream and the return of Omega has left the Planet without any protection – a dangerous situation unfolds. To avoid the upcoming disaster, Minerva decides to awaken a new Weapon and to resort to a risky plan. A plan, that rests solely on the shoulders of those, who shaped the world the way it is, and the memories that made them who they are.

It’s frustrating. Genesis would rather not feel affection for her. The first day of having Iduna on his own, he’d tried everything to calm her down. He’d even held her and rocked her in a way that felt unnatural, something he knew he’d have to get used to sooner or later. It wasn’t until he fumbled through exhausted sobs of his own and buried his face into his arms where they rested on her basket did Iduna quiet her cries, apparently disturbed by the addition of noise. He’d looked at Iduna, faces matching both red and wet, and she’d opened her eyes to stare at him. Green as can be.
The thought of giving her away only ever occurred to him in bouts of fear, because to him, that is simply abandonment. An act he’s well-versed in.
It is no longer out of duty that he cares for her. And that terrifies Genesis.

The lives and duties of these three are linked, to each other and to the planet. They are cogs turning in a massive, intricate system.It all began with the accidental transfer of a lifetime of memories through the lifestream...
Aerith and Sephya live in relative peace with Elmyra in Midgar, but while they try to make the most of it despite the burdens on their shoulders, another of Gaia's neverending cycles is reaching its end, and Jenova is infecting the lifestream. Sephya sets things in motion by joining SOLDIER after years of planning, and the unlikely love she finds there will put everything at risk.

What if Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Reunion followed the same ideas and story line as the Remake series? This fic was inspired by Remake, Rebirth and the entire compilation of Final Fantasy VII (along with my obvious obsession with Zack Fair). This one will be long, separated into chapters, and will cover parts of Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Ever Crisis, as well as have details and allude to scene's in Remake and Rebirth. Some scenes have also been inspired in part by the DMW in Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. This is my take on Zack's story, his friendships, and his enemies leading into to his death. I will post a new chapter every two weeks.
SPOILER ALERT: References to in game events, some of which pertain to Final Fantasy VII: Remake/Rebirth. Most characters and story-lines belong entirely to Square Enix.

Chaos was not the only primordial entity created by the Planet at its conception. There is another that sits in the shadows and watches over the Planet in Minerva's stead, unmoved by time. Lost Cetra scriptures say that it is the ultimate judge of lifeforms, both the ultimate mercy and the ultimate judgement, and that its power is unrivaled except by the mightiest of WEAPONs. If the apocalypse were to come, this being would be the one to sound the call, to awaken Omega and call Chaos to arms as the reaper of souls.
The Cetra, in their infinite wisdom, called it Order.
