When John thought about the day he walked back into Baker Street and saw Sherlock standing in the window with his violin tucked lovingly under his chin, bow raised as though ready to play, he thought of how he remembered the man’s eyes being so much more blue where they now sat dull and grey and slightly lifeless as though he had seen too many things and was trying to forget.

Summary
Sherlock's violin tells whomever is listening more about the Consulting Detective than it ought to, and at times it is the only window into his mind. What Sherlock plays hints at what that great mind is thinking -- and, more importantly, it hints at emotions he says he lacks. This short series looks at the two men through the violin, and how either react to the songs that sometimes play themselves.
