For the first time ever, I will be attempting Kinktober. I am already starting way behind, so I make no promises that I will post something for every day but by golly will I try!
I will be posting the second half of the month as its own fic, that way I don't have to worry about running out of tags and can tag more thoroughly and accurately. Archive warnings only apply to some chapters, it will be obvious by the chapter titles and notes which ones will contain such content.

The more they didn’t get anger, the more they wanted it.
They wanted Scout to get mad that they forgot. They wanted him to yell or cry or throw things. He’d done so much to help Pyro with the other mercs’ birthdays so far, he should expect the same. But he didn’t.
Even the night before his birthday, he hadn’t brought it up once. There was just a quiet acceptance on his face- that tomorrow meant nothing. Not to him, not to anybody. He wasn’t angry. Wasn’t even sad.
It went unspoken that he was very, very used to this.

Scout can't sleep. He can't sleep and it's starting to get to him, affecting his work in battle and at the base.
Enter, firebug.
Pyro wants contact just as much as Scout, but they're not afraid to ask. A tentative bond is formed of restful nights cuddled together, and hours spend in each others company. What was a hesitant bond bloomed into friendship, which begins to evolve into something bigger than either of them could have known.
