Summary
“Uh…” Legend says, a bit lost for words. That is a feat in itself. He has too many words to lose them. “What are you doing?”
Wild looks up from where he is crouched, raising an eyebrow at the question. “What?” He asks. His hands are stained a deep black, liquid seeping into every crack and callous on his palms, dripping with blood and gore as he signs. Legend cannot stop the twitch of his eye. This is exactly why he wanted Twilight to deal with him.
He closes his eyes and counts to ten in his head, sending a silent prayer to the spirits that be to save him from this mess. As per usual, nothing comes to his aid. When he opens his eyes again, Wild has tilted his head and flared out his ears, looking every bit the wolf he claims he was raised by. A blood-soaked, infant wolf that does not understand why people are screaming as he carries a mauled hare in his mouth.
“Let me rephrase,” Legend sighs, pinching the bridge between his brows. Patience is a virtue denied to him time and time again. “Why are you doing that?”

Summary
Captain Link has an arrow to the thigh when he falls through a portal to another world.
That’s Tune’s voice. Link is—the portal took him to—
“Tune,” Link gasps. His voice comes out quiet, his throat torn up and nose clogged from crying, so he coughs, then tries again. “Tune!”
“Y’all heard that, right?” the first voice asks. “Hey—Wind! Time!”
Link doesn’t know why the person is yelling about the wind and time, and he doesn’t care. Instead, he focuses on the cracking of branches underfoot and the rustling of leaves being brushed aside.
Tune is coming. His younger brother is just meters away and within yelling distance for the first time in months.Series

Summary
Wild does not fit in.
He gives little response, verbal or visual, hides behind a cloak, and acts borderline animalistic.
The heroes of legend are soon to find out why.
Just who, or what, is Wolfie?

Summary
Time had taken the first shift, and about halfway to midnight he’d gotten up to wake Warriors for the second watch. Not much had been said, it was a relatively quiet night so far, and Warriors had settled in by the fire without complaint.
About an hour after that, Wild stirred.
He mumbled to himself in his sleep, shifting as he did, startling Legend into full wakefulness. He blinked, disoriented for the briefest of moments before he felt something slither across his stomach and cling to him tightly.

Summary
“Someone beat us here,” he realized out loud.
A tense silence fell over them. “What makes you say that?”
“Wait, I see it now,” Four gestured to the blocks pushed against the wall. “This puzzle has already been solved.”
It was far from the first time this had happened to them. More often than not, they would hear tales of monster camps and dungeons only to find the places cleared out by the time they got there. And while it was nice to see that the world could manage without heroes doing everything, something wasn’t right. If the people of the era didn’t know it was dealt with…then that implied that someone else was responsible.

Legend sighed, looking very tired all of a sudden. “Now we go and find the others, who are probably out there causing a commotion over your disappearance. I give them back their shit, explain that I went and fought a time traveling monster and that’s why the timeline’s fucked up, and we see how it goes from there.”
Hyrule went to respond, but quickly forgot what he was going to say when he was cut off by the sound of distant explosions reverberating through the ground. Small bits of sunlight started to slip through some cracks in the earth.
“Aaand that would be them finding the exit. Dampé’s gonna kill them for setting off bombs in his graveyard. The last thing this tunnel needs is another reason to collapse and disturb the graves of all the nobles from the last few centuries.”
Hyrule fought back a grin. “Ready to meet them again?”
“No. Now let’s go before I change my mind.”
He laughed, grabbing Legend by the hand and leading the way towards the light.
-
“Mr. Hero?”Legend didn't turn around, “Yeah?”
“Will I remember this? Will anyone?”
“...I don't know,” He sighed. “It varies. Some people notice the timeline shifting around them as things change. Others only get an odd sense of déjà vu. And some wouldn’t notice even if you went back and changed their family history. Generally magic users remember more, but it’s a crapshoot.”
“Ah. Okay.” There was the familiar sound of Ravio awkwardly shuffling his feet.
“Are you going to try to stop me?”
He wasn’t sure what he’d do if Ravio said yes. Argue? Pretend to agree, then do it anyway? Ravio historically had good judgement regarding these kinds of matters, but Legend couldn’t imagine a world where he'd be content to let things end like this.
“No.”
-
A simple rule of time travel as it functioned under the laws set by the goddess of time declared that the same person could not exist in two different states within the same timeline. Legend didn’t know the finer mechanics of it—he’d once spent an entire afternoon trying to understand Nayru’s explanation on how puzzles could be solved using time travel without creating a paradox, and came to the ultimate conclusion that some things were better left to the divine.

Summary
Legend has always had a complicated relationship with the Goddess Hylia. It was no secret amongst the Chain that he despised Her for the role She played in his life. But his hatred for Her extended much deeper than that. Oh, it was quite personal, that was for sure.
("'No! I thought You couldn’t reach me like this! Why only now do You demand to see me!?'
'Well, that is certainly not the way to speak to your oldest, most beloved mistress, now is it, Hero of Legend?' She -Hylia- scolded. 'Not when I have given you the chance to see how lucky you are. After all, there are eight other heroes out there, and you know that now. Any one of them could be my favorite, and yet, I chose you. I am positive any one of them would be delighted to serve me as you do now.'
'No!' I can’t have them near You, he thought, I would do anything to protect them from You.")

When he was faced with his first portal hop, Four gave them a heads up: “As a warning, I am susceptible to head injuries.”
Four became nine, and the divine-given quest began. That and what ‘head injuries’ actually insinuated.
It’s in the format of 5+1, but there’s much more than 5 and no +1.

Summary
“It’s a shame, really,” Wild huffed, crossing his arms and propping his leg on the coffee table in Malon’s living room. “I’ve slept longer than half the people in my era have been alive! Nobody cared at the Noble Canteen...I just wanted to try a Noble Pursuit!”
Warriors had never once, in his entire, crazy life, expected to be talking with his incarnated self who apparently had been asleep for 100 years, woke up with no memories, saved all of Hyrule anyways and found the most inconvenient part of it all was not being able to drink at a Gerudo bar.
____
Wild is 117 and doesn't understand that this is Not Normal. Warriors gets more headaches (and gray hairs), and the chain ends up in Gerudo Town. This does not de-escalate the situation at all.

Summary
"It only took them a few moments to realize something was wrong after the last of the monsters fell to their blades, but there is no telling how long Hyrule had been missing before then. None of them know. Wild is likely the last one who saw him, as he mentioned that Hyrule was at his side when the second wave of monsters came in, but that still doesn’t give them anything definitive, as Wind admitted he didn’t even realize there had been a second wave. Even Time and Warriors are unsure, the latter suggesting the second wave could have occurred anywhere from fifteen to twenty minutes previous. And that really influences how far the Hero of Hyrule could've gone.
Hyrule is missing."
(Or: Hyrule goes missing after getting separated from the Chain after an intense battle and Legend fails miserably at not blaming himself for the whole thing.)

Summary
The portal closed behind Legend, and he had to sit down for a minute, head in his hands. The cold of night was somehow amplified by his brothers’ absence, and he shivered, rubbing his hands against his arms. What he wouldn’t give to be back in the Chain, sitting around the campfire and sharing stories from their adventures.
Legend has lived through a lot of goodbyes, and he has always known his time with the Chain was limited. That he'd have to go back to his own era one day. That doesn't make it easier to accept.
