Summary
In the morning, the mercenaries wake her up as they stop outside Sumeru City to finalize their sale. Furina brushes herself off and gets out, walking to the entrance like she’s in a dream. She actually made it. The city is wrapped around an enormous tree like a vine. She’s never seen anything like it.
“Wow,” Furina says to herself. She’d be remiss to say her eyes weren’t a bit misty. “I’m actually here.”
“Move it,” one of the mercenaries says.
“You’re blocking the way,” adds another.
“Oh. Sorry.”
After the prophecy is fulfilled, Furina is sure of three things: she's aimless, lonely, and bad at making macaroni. So when Neuvillette asks her to personally deliver his letters to the Archons of nearby nations, she doesn't have any reason to decline.
It turns out that the world outside of Fontaine is a lot less forgiving. Furina will need some help if she hopes to make it back home unscathed.

Wanderer flinched so hard he nearly fell out of the tree, catching himself at the last second, eyes wide as saucers. He would never admit to the scream that nearly came out of his mouth.
Scrambling his way back up, he raised his head in disbelief. Sitting on the branch right next to him was a young man, seemingly around his late twenties, wearing a black turtleneck and a light colored haori. But what caught his attention almost immediately were a red streak of hair sticking unruly from under a blue bandana and a pair of brown, bright eyes shining with warmth.
He knew those eyes.

After baiting Acheron into attacking him with her sword and unleashing a slash of Nihility to break through the Dreamscape of Penacony, Aventurine is left untethered in the realm of dreams and slips through a rift. As a protected pathstrider of the Preservation and a child blessed by Gaiathra Triclops, the combined link is enough to gently guide their dreaming soul away to a safe haven of one who’s dominion is over dreams and innocence. The memoria left to form his body in this new land after entering the rift from Penacony’s Dreamscape is not enough to form his true shape, but enough to form something familiar. At the very least, he’s not the only one stuck there as he later finds a certain “mute” wandering around.
