The audience had requested a song for them to cover, and it was one they hadn't played in a while and Dream was terrible at remembering things and once he'd realised that he couldn't remember what weird tuning he was supposed to use he panicked a little.
He didn't want to fuck up a song that wasn't even theirs, a song the fans had requested, it would leave them all disappointed–He tried to wipe the sweat away from his face because the last thing he needed was to look completely disgusting but his hair was already damp so he just gave up on that, the pit in his stomach slowly getting bigger and bigger because as soon as he figured the tuning out and started singing the intro of the song he noticed how scratchy his voice sounded, and it made him want to die a little.
or, Dream's parents were never supportive of him while growing up and it left him scared of not being perfect.
It's his band's debut concert, and he messes something up.Series

One more swing, and then another, and by now Dream had been forced to put his own weapon away just to keep his shield up with both arms–
Suddenly he heard it splinter and his heart dropped to his feet, panic flashing through his mind for a moment before he decided that he couldn't stay there anymore, he just had to go.
So at the next swing he pushed back against it as much as he could, leaving his shield there when he saw a bit of the sword running through it and getting stuck in between the spinners of wood.
And like that, he started running again.or, Dream can't stop thinking about something that happened during last Manhunt but doesn't dare to say anything. He pays the consequences and gets hurt again.

“Dream, can you hear us?”
The voice inside his earpiece made him jump because he had completely forgotten the hunters were there too– He had forgotten this was a Manhunt, brain too jumbled for him to even remember where he was.
“Dream! We heard a witch, are you alright?”
George's voice didn't bring any of the comfort he associated it with, soothing him during the nights when he couldn't sleep and making his heart grow warm every time the other told him about one of his crazy dreams.
He thought he heard worry in the George's tone, but something inside him screamed that it was wrong, fake– This was Manhunt, there was no room for kindness or concern.or, Dream definitely should've postponed this Manhunt, but was too stubborn to, so he gets himself in trouble.

~~~This is a Dream SMP AU based on the fictitious concept posted to 4chans /x/ board in 2019.
Written by our system for fun from a though we had in our physical science class while obsessed with the idea. We probably should've paid more attention to neutrons and protons and stuff but we spent more time studying the Backrooms and thinking of a DSMP AU for it! This is updated whenever we add to it but won't be our main focus! If you'd like to read the story that is the system's main focus then please do check out Run Away With Me which is a DNF story written by three of the fictives in our system. I can guarantee it will be more updated than this!

Dream wasn't ignoring them. He wasn't ignoring his friends. At least, not on purpose. He hadn't noticed anything wrong at first. Then things got worse. One moment he'd be fine and then he'd blink and people would be in different places. One moment it would be peaceful and the next his friends were scolding him for ignoring them. They held an intervention. They tried to make him own up to his 'lies'. Instead they found out what was actually happening. And all of them felt guilt.

What happens when you mess up and get taken by your target?

Sapnap, George, Sam and Bad weren't even a team. However, since they were all leaders of their respective teams which missed one member each, they got thrown together in the last efforts of catching the notorious Dream.
Nobody knows Dream's real identity, nor do they know why they're hunting the man down, but the bounty is too damn sweet to pass up on.
It was supposed to be easy since all of them were S-grade assassins.
They were supposed to catch the man then get drunk as hell afterwards in celebration.
But...nothing ever goes according to plan. So, Sapnap gets stuck with his target because of a dumb little mistake.
Will he ever make it back? Will they end up hunting Dream down and bringing him back to their employee? And where the hell is Dream taking him?!
