Summary
His memories still return only in snippets, a single puzzle piece at a time, and difficult to form into a whole picture. Whatever Fenris mourns, it has long been gone. Apart from the rift between him and Hawke, it's all from another life.
And regretting pushing Hawke away cannot compare to the anguish she feels now, with her mother's murder fresh on her mind and guilt fermenting in her gut for being too late to prevent it.

Hawke knew she could be a bit emotional at times, in the angry sense, which had the off chance of making her seem irrational. Generally it was not intentional, and oftentimes rather a result of her simply putting her foot in her mouth - unlike Varric she did NOT have a way with words - however, usually she could get away with it. She’d be genuine enough, flutter her lashes enough, smile sweetly enough. And somehow manage to avoid any real negative impact resulting from the matter.
Other times, however, this is not the case. Other times she fucks up properly and has to solve her problems another way.
