There was no use getting herself captured in an attempt to prove herself capable of fending off multiple trained soldiers, especially not when her portion of the mission was accomplished. With that new goal in mind, she spared a second to look around the room she was trapped in.
One second too long it seemed, as in an instant there were way more than three blasters pointed in her direction and firing without hesitation. She managed to bring her shield up just in time to stave off any lasting damage, but not before one of the shots landed smack-dab in the center of her chestplate, sending her flying a few feet backward.

“Hold on-“ Pidge choked. “A-Are you saying you can mind control people?”
“Mind control?” Torrieku looked unimpressed. “Of course not.”
Valkriek smiled. “Our powers were a little more…like this.” Carefully raising a hand, Valkriek pointed a finger at Keith.
For a split second, nothing happened.
And then Keith was falling out of his chair screaming.
OR: The paladins head to a planet inhabited by a species known as Enkels, which just so happen to have the power to crush Galra's minds into jelly at will.

Lance thought about crawling into the pool. Clothes on and everything. He imagined sinking slowly to the bottom, watching bubbles float past his face as he emptied his lungs, letting silence pour in. Until there was nothing left but the burn in his chest, the crushing weight, and the quiet rupture of thought and blood and heart as the world dimmed around him. Drifting, stuck. Lance doubted it would feel any different than he felt right now.
