When a Decepticon war criminal held captive aboard an Autobot shuttle escapes to the forbidden planet Earth, the crew escorting him must make a mad rush to recapture their prisoner before they are discovered by a surprisingly hostile humanity. Being robots in disguise isn't as easy as it used to be, now that a technologically advanced human civilization is struggling with mass uprisings of its own robotic creations. An alternate universe where the Transformers characters are all humans with X-Men-esque powers gained when they were abducted by the Quintessons and experimented on. The experimentation wiped nearly all their memories, forcing them to try and rebuild however they could after their escape from captivity. But after a split over fundamental ideological differences, the Autobots and Decepticons are now locked in constant conflict as each side tries to rebuild in what they find to be the "correct" way. Heaven help the humans who get caught in the crossfire.
A long-term fic project I'm working on solo while my usual writing partner leads a very busy life.

Rodimus Prime's relationship with Galvatron may not be the best of all relationships in the universe........but it very oddly works. The ceasefire accords have been settled and something resembling "peace" between the Autobots and Decepticons have begun. Rodimus wishes he could have something more from Galvatron--and, of course, the Decepticon Leader just doesn't get it.
And wouldn't you just know it...........at that point, leave it to the Quintessons to cause problems!

Summary
As Arcee's predicament is revealed to be about more than her alone, Starscream and Jetfire end up having to deal with a situation that has been a possibility for the length of the war, but it'll be only one trial of many as the "in case of fire" armistice turns out to be very, very necessary.
Questions about the past will be answered, as well as those of the nature of the spark - but the most important question is two-fold. How do you save a newly revealed half of your population that doesn't know they need to be freed from the slavery they're in, and how do you keep the known half of your population, what little is left after 4+ million years of war, from that very same slavery?
Sequel to On the Edge of Extinction.
