Summary
The man moved with the same predatory grace he always had, and if he had aged in the past five years (it was a bit hard to tell from a subpar camera on the other side of the street) then he had aged well. Which was all entirely predictable of course. No, what had thrown Q and everyone else in the ops center who had ever met Bond or read his file was the way that he was dressed - faded blue jeans with holes in the knees, a t-shirt from some unidentifiable but probably local surf shop, and-
“Are you wearing Converse?” demanded Q before he could think better of it.
Bond’s eyes unerringly found the camera through which Q was watching, an expression of vague displeasure. “Well, I don’t generally make a habit of wearing suits to fix my boat, and I doubted you had the patience for me to change.” .James Bond has been retired for five years. But when a highly sensitive mission goes to hell just a few miles from where he as settled down Q is forced to ask for his help. Bond and Q return easily to their old ways - they are also forced to finally confront their feelings for each other.

After his retirement at the end of Spectre, Bond returns to Q for even more help. Q isn't happy about it, but relents when Bond gives him a bloody bullet that was used to murder Madeleine Swann and frame Bond for the crime. The bullet turns out to be a Q Branch prototype, and Q's suddenly got a few problems on his hands, including: a mole in Q Branch, a fugitive and retired 00 hiding out at his house and insisting on feeding him up, and Q doing his best to solve Swann's murder--and possibly his own.

Summary
When the door opens again, three more people spill into the room. For her benefit, James identifies them as Moneypenny, Tanner and Q. Her attention is arrested by him, this quartermaster, this boy. She watches the way Q watches James and, for the first time, actually goes past understanding and gets it.
Then Bond laughs at something M says and cockily adds, "He can do it. Our Q has a lot of talent." And his eyes kind of get a little more of that sparkle, and it takes everything she has not to start crying on the spot. Every fragmented thought of what life might have been like from now on goes up in smoke.

But this? There was no excusing this as anything other than what it was. Pathetic longing, and a need to be close to Bond to comfort himself. Q couldn't even pretend that he was visiting Bond to keep the man company. No, this was about Q and the fact that the majority of his nightmares lately had featured an empty hospital bed and another trip to the local cemetery.
"You need to wake up, you sodding prick," he said to Bond, not bothering to lower his voice. The only other sound in the room was the beep of the heart monitor. "I can destroy these people very easily, but I don't want to hear you whining about having missed out on the action later on."

Summary
There’s no time to grab anything to defend himself with, because the first hinge on the door snaps open with a bang, and the second follows on the next hit. The door rips backwards, thrown to the floor by the same man Q had been in the ski lift with, who smiles menacingly and draws a knife from his jacket. The Quartermaster wonders how long it will take for James to realise he’s missing.
Before the henchman even gets in his first hit, Q knows it’ll be too late.
