~ Lucy quickly sat up straighter and tilted her head further upwards to look up at him properly. “Wait, no, I want to have it now, I don’t wanna have to go back to what we were doing before where neither of us know where we stand, just waiting for the talk to happen at some point. I don’t want that, I want to talk about it now.” Her eyes were wide and lips slightly parted, a look of concern on her face, like she was scared of the moment moving on without her and leaving her in limbo.
“Are you sure? You only just woke up, are you ready for this heavy of a conversation right away?” Tim raised his eyebrows in question.
Lucy pursed her lips and tilted her head slightly, clearly weighing up the options in her head before answering. “Okay, let me have a few sips of coffee first, then we’ll do it. I don’t want you to leave before we talk properly.”
Tim smiled in response. “Deal.” He turned around and grabbed Lucy’s favourite mug from the shelf and placed it on the counter, as she stood up off the couch and made her way over there, before smiling warmly at the fact he’d clearly remembered which one was her favourite. ~
